We had only heard from a few locals that there were “some surfable waves further north, but the dirt roads aren’t passable right now.” We said fu*k it. Driving five hours in a 3-van caravan through remote Iceland, many moments of encountering too snowy of roads but choosing to just gun it & see what happens, we had the headcount to undig a van no matter how stuck. We finally turned a corner & some tasty waves presented themselves. @pattitude suited up & caught this wave right as I hiked up a ways so I could ski all the way to the ocean. Mahalos to all the muchachos & muchachas that made another historic @mexilogfest for the ages. A week to let the sweat dry & dust settle following yet another epic GoPro Mountain Games in the books.
