Four past OC1 Men Solo Winners from Kailua. JR was the one who wanted this photo, and I’m so glad we got it. I regret not being more of a photo guy and having more pictures of the good times we had together. The two we lost this year are who we celebrate tomorrow in the race they both loved and dominated. I was living the good life last week in Western Australia. Six surfski races over 10 days. Beyond grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to @kaiwaacanoes for getting me there and the continued support, @chrissomaynard @stimo67 for helping and organizing everything in Perth. And of course @angielani for holding it all down at home. I had an ear to ear smile for the entire trip racing getting to know some amazing paddlers, and seeing guys I have admired from the beginning of my Surfski journey- @oscarchalupsky12x and @chopsgardiner. @oceanpaddleraus puts on an amazing event week and I hope to be back. by @pattyds808
