Each stitch is connected to a breath. Each stitch draws us back into ourselves. Breathe in an affirmation. Follow your thoughts, deeper into awareness. Stitch your way to wellness, self discovery, relaxation. Connect with each moment. This weekend we will be in Claremont for a full day of crafting in nature. There are a few spaces available to join in. Camp overnight on Friday, spend the day making, exploring and reconnecting. Comment nature and I will send you the details.

WAAH Plein Air Session Recap!

What a picture-perfect day! Last Thursday, we gathered on the beautiful grounds of Dundurn Castle for a wonderful afternoon of outdoor painting.

The weather truly cooperated, giving us the perfect light to capture the historic charm and lush surroundings. A huge thank you to Patty Lynes for leading the session, and a special shout-out to the incredibly talented crew—Nancy Toffolo, Karen Logan, Atiye Farahani, and Gem De Bustos—for sharing their creativity and wonderful company. There’s nothing quite like the inspiration that comes from painting together in the fresh air!

Fun and also very cold painting in Elora for the Elora Plein Air Festival. Show and sale is on today - Sunday May 17th at the beautiful Elora Centre for the Arts. I’ve also done some ancestry investigation and discovered my great great grandparents are buried in Elora. The original Lynes homestead dating back to the mid 1800’s is located in Fergus. So I’m back to my roots. If you are exploring the area, drive up to Kenilworth and find the Lynes blacksmith shop on Hwy 6 where my grandfather grew up. Sisters are the best!!! Lucky to have such talented sisters!!
We are honoured to be part of the group exhibition ‘Related Perspectives’ @backalley.gallery on until April 18th. The show features artists who are related in some way, showing how they approach similar subjects. The exhibit explores how shared history, environment or experience can shape or diverge artistic vision. This is the first collaboration for Joanne, Sue and I.
