This May, the final Bozar All Over the P(a)lace of the season stands alongside the Queen Elisabeth Competition 🎻

As the spotlight turns to the cello, we invite multi‑instrumentalist, singer, and model damsel Elysium in her evocation of performer and cellist Charlotte Moorman. damsel Elysium will be accompanied by abi asisa on the cello for a composition by Daniel Glenn Padgett.

This first nocturne of the year unfolds in dialogue 🌝

In Bellezza e Bruttezza, beauty and ugliness confront each other across the Italian Renaissance.

Garden by Víctor Guaita Igual and Jacob Storer lets choreography and music resonate with this tension.

And in The 23, filmmaker Courtney Stephens brings forgotten travel footage shot by women between the 1920s and 1950s back into motion, through Terra Femme.

The body, both a vessel of memory and a political, poetic, living instrument 🖇️ ⁠
⁠

Dharma Punk, channels the rebellious intensity of the punk movement of the 1970s and '80s—its raw, defiant energy—while drawing on the introspective calm of Buddhist-inspired practices of self-listening and inner transformation. These two seemingly contradictory forces become fertile ground for reflection, transforming rage into a clarified, tempered energy.

Here, the body becomes a site of dialogue between @PierreDroulers himself, in his dual role as dancer and choreographer, and performer Olivier Balzarini, with visual artist @AnneBuxerolle lending a tactile, scenographic presence.⁠

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the team from BOZAR @bozarbrussels – the biggest arts centre in Belgium – CEO and Artistic Director Christophe Slagmuylder @slagmuylder and his Artistic associate Paul Briottet @paulbriottet during their three-day visit to Vilnius.
Together we attended the New Opera Action (NOA) Festival and met with a vibrant group of artists and cultural professionals.

Cultural visits included:
• The performance “Sporos” by @pakui_hardware, which will also represent Lithuania at the Performa Biennial in New York. It was performed at the impressive and “hidden gem” venue VU Aula Parva Hall, where part of the festival took place.
• The performance “LLLLove” An Alphabetised Love Story – an immersive and poetic exploration of intimacy.

We also had inspiring encounters with @ana.ablamonova, the main force behind @operomanija; director Karolis Kaupinis, whose new performance The Festoval of Songs opened the NOA Festival; Neringa Černiauskaitė @contentfree and @ugnius_gelguda creative duo of Pakui Hardware; artists @augustasserapinas and @arturas_bumsteinas; dance professionals @gintaremasteikaite from the Theatre Information Centre @lithuanian_dance and @newbalticdance, and Agnietė Lisičkinaitė @superagniete, dancer and founder @be_kompanijos; as well as Kotryna Briedytė from @radiovilnius and Jana Mikulevič @janamiku from the @lietuvoskinocentras.

Among the institutional visits were:
• The exhibition “Bells and Cannons” at @cacvilnius, presented by Director @valentinas_klimasauskas and Curator Virginija Januškevičiūtė @deep__oceans.
• The National Gallery of Lithuania @nacionalinedailesgalerija, where we met Director Lolita Jablonskienė and Curators Ieva Mazūraitė and @jolanta_marcisauskyte.
• The Lithuanian National Drama Theatre @teatras.lt and representatives Vidas Bizunevičius @besotis and Kristė Savė from @lithuaniantheatre.
• The opening of the new Rupert @rupert.vilnius home, where we met Director @siaulyteviktorija, Curator @godapalekaite and even more inspiring professionals from Lithuania’s cultural field.
