Off to Japan 🇯🇵

This year, three artists of The Grant's recipients will be participating in the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth (JENESYS) Programme. Focusing on Japanese Language and Culture, the participants will be part of the Philippines official delegation traveling to Tokyo, Japan for a unique cultural immersion experience.

日本の皇室関係者や外交官、ファッション業界の方々が参加し、フィリピンの伝統と現代の美を融合させた「フィリピン・エレガンス」に魅了されました◎

このイベントは、DTI（フィリピン貿易産業省） @dti.philippines の全面的な支援とPTIC Tokyoの戦略的なコーディネートにより、単なるファッションショーを超えた「クリエイティブ外交」の場となりました 🌏🤍

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Tokyo, led by Commercial Counselor Dita Angara-Mathay, facilitated an event where three of the Philippines’ most celebrated creative forces — Paul Cabral, Patrick Rosas, and Robby Carmona — collectively showcased Filipino artistry in Tokyo.

Held at The Kudan, the official residence of the Philippine Ambassador, the Philippine Fashion Showcase entitled “Filipino Elegance” gathered the participation of Japanese royalty, dignitaries, fashion insiders, and global tastemakers to witness a modern tribute of PH heritage and craft.

Fashion Aid Philippines is a creative advocacy collective that brings together Filipino designers and artists in support of national identity, cultural preservation, and global visibility. At its forefront are Paul Cabral, designer to presidents and dignitaries; Patrick Rosas, makeup artist and stylist whose work has shaped the Filipino standard of beauty; and Robby Carmona, show director behind many of the country’s most iconic productions.

With the DTI’s full support and PTIC Tokyo’s strategic coordination, this world-class presentation became more than a fashion event — it was a statement of creative diplomacy and a bold celebration of Malikhaing Pinoy.

歴史的建造物「九段（Kudan）」を舞台に、文化と外交が見事に交差した特別な夜に…🤍

皇族をはじめ各国のゲストもご来場くださり、フィリピンと日本の絆を改めて感じるひとときとなりました🇯🇵🫱🏻‍🫲🏽🇵🇭

Held in Tokyo on 19 May, the “Filipino Elegance” fashion show by Paul Cabral wowed an international audience, including Japanese royals and dignitaries. A proud showcase of culture, craftsmanship, and diplomacy — led by DTI and PTIC Tokyo under the Malikhaing Pinoy program with the cooperation of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo.
The success of the showcase was made possible through close coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, led by Her Excellency Ambassador Mylene Garcia-Albano, who graciously opened the doors of the historic Kudan, the only Philippine National Historical Landmark outside the country, to host this cultural and economic milestone.
