We landed in France on Friday and spent our first night in Paris. I brought a couple of my illustrated ladies to @museeorangerie and @museeorsay . Later that evening, Rich and I listened to jazz @38riv and met up with @sarahwestandassociates on the terrace at @loulourestaurants with views of the Eiffel Tower as it twinkled every hour on the hour after dusk. Walking back to our hotel along the Seine that night felt magical with the entire city cheering after France’s rugby World Cup win nearby just as we finished dinner. Last year in Villefranche-sur-Mer, I painted this brooch after seeing it in an exhibition of Princess Grace’s jewelry at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. ✨

I loved everything about it … the turquoise, the oversized stone, and of course, the story behind it.

It makes me so happy that the original has now found a home with Dallas jewelry designer @nora__alford who appreciates the piece and its inspiration. 🤍 by @paulettepearsonstudio
