Hello! My name is Paul Harry Holmes. Here's another clip of some dark, sci-fi style sounds created with a modular synthesizer.

There's a full-length video (alternate session) on my YouTube channel at paulholmes007

Headphones or larger speakers are recommended for your listening experience, there's a lot of low end frequencies from the two oscillators in this patch.

Thank you for watching 🎛❤️🎚

You can find my music at pholmes.bandcamp.com or search Paul Harry Holmes on your favorite streaming platform.

Hello! My name is Paul Harry Holmes and here's some dark modular synthesizer sounds I've been experimenting with lately.

Strange, sci-fi style sounds using the FMco (ALM Busy Circuits) and the Virt Iter Legio (Noise Engineering) voices. I'm also using the Ochd (Instruo & Div Kid) and Sinc Bucina (Noise Engineering) for the LFO's and envelope, with some help from Nautilus (Qu-Bit Electronix), Z5000 (TIPTOP Audio), and Librae Legio (Noise Engineering) for effects and processing.

Headphones or larger speakers are recommended for your listening experience, there's a lot of low end frequencies from the two oscillators in this patch.

Thank you for watching 🎛❤️🎚

Hello! my name is Paul Harry Holmes and I create ambient, electronic music with a modular synthesizer system. I mix traditional instruments with a modular synth and other analog hardware. Here's a clip of a recent practice session where I'm manipulating a pre-recorded electric guitar riff; I'm experimenting with some new ideas for an upcoming modular synthesizer performance 🎛🎸🤘🎚

You can see me perform live in Meriden, Connecticut at Grace's Place (1237 East Main Street) this Saturday, September 12th with @thachillcorner
There will be live music & retro gaming systems (all the old, classic consoles 🎮). If you're in Connecticut, come chill with us. Retro video games, live music, good coffee, good vibes.

Thank you for watching 🎛❤️🎚

Hello! Here's a longer video where I process a pre-recorded electric guitar phrase (played with a wah pedal) through the Soundhack Morphagene module from Make Noise Music. I'm adding glitch and bit crushing with the Data Bender module from Qu-Bit Electronix. I wanted to show the original sound before reversing and deconstructing it, so the listener has some context.

This clip is part of a 40 minute, improvised modular synth session captured in one continuous recording. I've been performing different versions of this set in Connecticut, over the past few months, with @thachillcorner and I wanted to record and share the music before I explore new sounds.

You can watch the full performance on my YouTube channel at paulholmes007 or listen/download the audio (high quality Wav file) on my Bandcamp page at pholmes.bandcamp.com

I recommend headphones, ear buds or larger stereo speakers for your listening experience.

Please follow me for more original, ambient music and modular synthesizer explorations.

Thank you for watching 🎛❤️🙏🎚

Hello out there! Here's a home studio recording of my current live modular synthesizer set. A short clip of a 40 minute, improvised session captured in one continuous recording with analog mastering equipment. I recommend headphones, ear buds or larger stereo speakers for your listening experience.

I've been performing different versions of this music at a few spots in Connecticut, over the past few months, with @thachillcorner and I wanted to record and share the music before dismantling this patch and exploring new sounds.

You can watch the full-length music video on my YouTube channel at paulholmes007 or listen/download the audio (high quality Wav file) on my Bandcamp page at pholmes.bandcamp.com

Follow me for more music videos and modular synthesizer explorations.
