I’m more than grateful for this wonderful chapter, which came to a close last week. At my graduation, I was awarded the Master of Letters in Systematic and Historical Theology with distinction. It was a truly special moment that I will cherish for the rest of my life and hold close to my heart. ♥️🎓

What made the day even more meaningful was having my parents, friends, and companions along the way by my side for this celebration. I’m deeply thankful to my parents for their constant support of my dreams and my sometimes-crazy ideas, which they have always met with trust and encouragement - ultimately helping me become the person I am today. 🫂

My heartfelt thanks also go to my supervisor, Dr Hyland, who not only turned the dissertation phase into a genuine joy, but also navigated countless conversations - e.g, about self-baptisms and carnivorous seals - with admirable patience and good humour. 🦭📚 And thank you to our wonderful team in Dean’s Court, the Chaplaincy, and everyone who made my time in St Andrews possible and filled it with such joy and heart-warming memories. ✨♥️

Deo gratias! 🙌🏼

final results for my Master’s, the fragrance of flowers, and lots of happiness 🥨

Romans 11:36

Today I received my overall grade for my Master’s in Systematic and Historical Theology at the University of St Andrews - and I couldn’t be happier! 💐😍🎉🪩

After completing my dissertation on Thecla of Iconium (“‘Oh, virgin, martyr, and apostle. The Making of Holiness in Thecla of Iconium: The Acta Theclae in Conversation with the Vita et Miracula Sanctae Theclae”) with distinction ✝️✨🦜❤️‍🩹😇🪶, I’m overjoyed to see this recognised in my overall grade as well and to find myself on the Deans‘ List. ✨

Looking back, I’m just so thankful – for my time in St Andrews, for the inspiring and supportive faculty who were always there with encouragement and openness, and for my amazing friends and family who stood by me through it all. You gave me the courage to always keep going. 🍞🫂💪🏼

Dear Bubble, see you in December 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🫘🐮🌧️☂️🍾🥂
… when this degree will be officially conferred. 🎓➡️👩🏼‍🎓🎉

And because this year has been so full, so stretching, and so beautiful, a reflection on the past months will follow soon… ✨
