Today, July 7th, marks 3 months to the date and day since my beautiful and precious little girl "Zoey" crossed the rainbow bridge. The pain and grief relentlessly washes over me daily. I miss her so, so very much. I miss her sleeping next to me, hearing her little paws scurry across the floor boards, her gently scratching the back of my neck to wake me, greeting me at the door, every time I came home, with a prolonged "conversation", and so many more moments. I am surrounded by memories of her. Her presence is everywhere. The silence though is deafening. Yes, I have wonderful memories and I cherish them but I want her back......💔 by @paulmonaghan2507

My name is Paul and I am an Alcoholic... Today marks my 6th year of declaring this, daily, to myself and to the world, but, as a sober recovering alcoholic I no longer hang my head in shame and guilt but hold it high with immense gratitude. Grateful to be healthy and alive and thriving. The last few months have been extremely difficult personally, particularly with the loss of my darling kitty daughter "Zoey". She crossed the rainbow bridge almost 3 months ago and the enormity of her loss continues to overwhelm me and swamp me in grief. I could not continue to deal with her loss had I not my sobriety. So, life moves onwards, and for that I am enormously grateful. To anyone struggling to cope with this awful disease please know that there is a solution and a better life awaits you. I am here for you just reach out and I will welcome you with open arms and guide, assist and be by your side as you begin your new journey...... One day at a time 🙏

Four weeks ago, today, on April 7th at 17:11 you gently and peacefully slipped away in my arms. Your loss has broken me. The emptiness and sorrow I’m living with is immeasurably deep, profound. The hole in my heart remains irreparable.

It’s difficult to describe what you meant to me except to say you were everything. I’ve never felt such pain, sorrow and grief.

You were there for me through my early recovery from alcoholism, my rock, my reason. The unconditional love between us was fathomless. I miss you... my Zoey, my baby, my soul mate, my love, my life. You brought me infinite happiness and blissful joy in your short 14 years and I am sure I will be with you again when my time comes. Until then you will remain forever in my heart and in my soul. 💔 by @paulmonaghan2507

You were there for me through my early recovery from alcoholism, my only rock. The unconditional love between us was fathomless. I miss you... My Zoey, my baby, my companion, my everything. I just collected my Zoey’s ashes. Walking back into the clinic was so difficult but Zoey is home now with me. It’s eleven days since she passed, the pain, loss and grief I’m feeling is profound and unrelenting, but, I feel her presence everywhere and now she is back home that presence is even stronger. Love you for ever and a day my darling, my baby. 💔 by @paulmonaghan2507

On Tuesday April 7th last at 17:11 my darling baby Zoey passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge in my arms with the care and assistance of her vet, Conor. My heart is broken. She was my world for all of her 14years. My grief is unbearable, the loss indescribable. My chest aches my soul feels empty. I’ve never felt so desolate, so broken. Rest in peace my angel until we meet again. I adore you, Papa 💔 by @paulmonaghan2507
