I’ve been developing an animated short film titled Adeline—a project I’ve been working on and off for quite some time. It’s been a long but rewarding process.

The animation is built in Maya, with each frame painted by hand in Procreate at 3K resolution. For the end title sequence, I experimented with ComfyUI and Kling, blending traditional, frame-by-frame artistry with AI-driven techniques. While the hybrid approach didn’t work exactly as I first envisioned, I’m really happy with the final text animation—and the experiment itself pushed the project forward in unexpected ways.

I took my Catz character for a test drive in Blender. While I’m aware that Maya 2025 can handle an 8 gig file size and Unreal can manage 100 gigs, I’m unsure about Blender’s capacity, but I plan to explore that soon.
