Two checks off my bucket list: first trip to and performance in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget. Didn’t have a lot of time to take it all in, but I did get to catch up with some old friends, which was perfect. #markfarnersamericanband @markfarners_americanband #paulrandolph taken in Golden Nugget Las Vegas by @paulrandolph

Vibin’ out to my latest solo release “I Wanna Know Ya” is the lovely and talent Patrice Petway Compton. She is a Detroit native, singer, and performer from currently residing in Las Vegas. Patrice and I toured together with our dear friend the late Amp Fiddler. You can see her perform in the month of October with Soul of Motown at The Westgate Las Vegas Cabaret Theater. “Soldier” is a collaboration with my friend Boddhi Satva. Hailing from the Central African Republic, Boddhi is a globally renowned Producer, DJ, innovator of the electronic music, and is celebrated for pioneering the genre “Ancestral Soul”. This video was shot in Miami with the dance team Babson and Mamson. Babson (Ousmane Sy) and Mamson (Mamé Diarra) are two of the most legendary figures in the global House Dance and street dance community. Based in France, they are world renown innovators, dance partners, choreographers and fierce battle competitors. Unfortunately, Babson transitioned in December of 2020. The language I sing near the end of the song is Sango. This version of is “Soldier (Boddhi Satva Ancestral Dub)”, can be found along with other remixes at my Bandcamp page. “Heavy” is a song from my third solo album “In The Company Of Others”, I collaborated on with my dear friend the late composer and pianist Vernon D. Hill. I remember clearly the day he sent me the track. Upon the first listen, I knew immediately what I wanted to do so, I quickly loaded it into a session and recorded the hook. Hooks have always come easy for me, it’s typically the first thing that comes to mind. I trust my initial reaction, it has never failed me and has proven to be honest and pure. It’s a kin to the old saying “always follow your first mind“. I’m proud to say that the message of “Heavy” remains relevant to the times we are living in ; “ you’ve heard of the law of vibration, like things attract. So what do you want to attract to your life, bring back to your life.” You can listen and purchase it on my Bandcamp page paulrandolph.bandcamp.com/track/heavy or on your favorite download and streaming services. Artwork by @pk_philip_kelly. Be well, be safe, be kind, 🙏🏾❤️✌🏾@vernondgerman #vernondhill @paulrandolph #paulrandolph #suntemplerecords #detroitmusic by @paulrandolph

This new Reimagination of “Could You Be Me” by Sir Nigel Randolph and Kelvin Sholar reveals their shared musical connection, which reaches back to Detroit, yet extends across years of collaboration worldwide. Paul and Kelvin approached the process as an open conversation rather than a fixed plan, while this version reflects that open approach: a recording shaped over time, allowing each iteration to inform the next until the music arrived at its own destination.
