I've just finished Mark Twain's autobiography. It's one of the best books (or, more exactly, book series) I've read in a long time. Unlike most autobiographies, there's no real chronological order to it; it's really just Twain telling stories of his life. Reading this was like sitting in a room with him and listening to him talk.

I HIGHLY recommend it.

Also, the last few pages of Volune 3 are incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking.

It's one of the few books I've read that I'm sorry is done....

3rd day done @calgaryexpo. I've met AMAZING artists and picked up quite a few signatures. Hilights have included meeting two legends: Don McGregor ans Richard Comely.

As well, I picked up two fantastic original pieces; one a commission by @art_of_breed , and a beautiful Batman by @geof_isherwood .

Tomorrow, for the last day, a bit of merchandise shopping...

1st day haul of signed books from @calgaryexpo. It's a BLAST, and I met a bunch of AMAZING artists, including Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, and @j.b.fleming .

Looking forward to the rest of the expo, and meeting more artists...

Picked this up the other day at Buy And Sell;

A boxed set of John Ford films from his time at Fox Studios. There's 24 films, two facsimile programs, and a hardcover book. Sadly, there was supposed to be a DVD documentary about Ford, but it's missing. It's not that important to me, really. The films are what matters...

We were out looking for Bald Eagles this week as they make their way back from their winter homes. We saw 40 on Monday, and another 29 today. We also came across this young moose, hanging out by a nearby farm. He was VERY close and didn't seem too bothered by us. I may not have gotten any photos of the eagles, but this photo makes up for it...

So proud of everyone involved in A Dickens of a Christmas! What a fun night at @ciffcalgary for the premiere. @gmckercher directed this movie while literally 9 months pregnant and was fabulous! I picked this up at an online comic auction the other day. I'm told its an original sketch on the cover. (What do I know???) I think it's pretty awesome. Just not sure who the artist is.
