What is PAUSE STUDIO? A place to create portraits without a photographer. Come by yourself, with your partner, your friends or family – and take photos in your own way, at your own pace.

¿Qué es PAUSE STUDIO? Un lugar para hacer fotos sin fotógrafo.
Puedes venir solo, con tu pareja, con amigos o en familia - y hacer las fotos a tu manera, a tu ritmo. taken in Barcelona, Spain by @pause.es

A date at a self-portrait studio.

Being photographed together doesn’t have to turn into a whole planned, stressful event. Let it be a spontaneous date idea. When it’s only the two of you in the room, it becomes more about just spending quality time together, feeling comfortable, taking your own photos, having fun, and capturing the two of you exactly as you are right now 🤍

Why the mirror changes everything?

When there’s no photographer in the room, you stop thinking about how you look from someone else’s point of view. You see yourself as you used to and move at your own pace. That little bit of privacy changes the whole experience and gives you a completely different feeling from a traditional photoshoot. This is exactly why we fell in love with self-portraits in the first place.

Thank you for this summer, guys!

We hosted events and parties, lost a few letters from our door (s and e, we’ll never forget you), repainted the shutter after a mysterious artist’s visit, became a little rescue island from the August heat with ac and cold drinks, watched dozens of film cameras leave our shop with new owners, ready for their own Barcelona adventures.

Most importantly, we spent the summer welcoming you in for the moments worth capturing.

See you this autumn 🧡 taken in Barcelona, Spain by @pause.es

We’ve put together a few recommendations on what to wear depending on the studio you choose.

There’s a private changing area in both studios, so feel free to bring a few outfits and change your look during the session. See you soon 🤍 taken in Barcelona, Spain by @pause.es

Great portraits don’t need much.

Just your reflection in the mirror, a clicker in your hand, and a space where you can fully relax. Everything else is already taken care of.
