Techo Tidbit…

What happens with dry-install #polymericsand after it’s installed in your #interlockingconcretepavement ?

1. Dries out and hardens in the joint to distribute load between individual units…
2. After a rain event, saturation, or cleaning; the sand will soften and become flexible…
3. In its softened state; it can ‘self-heal’ and repair minor imperfections…
4. Dries out and hardens again!
5. Repeat!!

Wanna learn more?!?

Let’s schedule a #handsoneventtraining with your team…

Thank you to all the contractors who came out to @stonescapesupply for our Hardscaper CPR event!

Steps to success…

Surface preparation - remove any debris from the pavement surface…

Pre-Cool - lightly mist the pavement to cool the surface and enable capillary action…

Determine the appropriate detergent/#dilutionrate /#dwelltime and apply an even coat…

Rinse the pavement then let dry…(we used a torch to dry our surface faster but be careful not to overheat the pavement)

Apply #waterbased or #solventbased protectant and back roll the surface of puddling or using a textured pavement

Let the protectant dry…then ENJOY!! taken in Shelby Twp. MI by @paverpete1

5 years ago in #montreal a #techoproelite hardscape contractor helped bring the best in training to our industry. We’re about to do it again in 2027. Another team of elite craftsman , new project, lots of challenges ( #stormwatersolutions , #shadestructures , #waterfeatures , gasfirepits, etc… ) & confronting the ‘change’ so common in our fast paced businesses! taken in Greater Montreal by @paverpete1
