Heads roll

Screams are heard

A river of blood gushes forth

"Executor, sharpen your blade. Their hog necks blunt the edge."

"313 you're up next. Lay your nape on the meat block."

"I will see her at last. You have ordained me to immortality..." Slightly perplexed, the executioner wipes the blood off his brow. Just another routine day. Doing his daily task of beheading traitors, enemies of the king, and thieves, he stumbles upon the slain.

The mysterious man smiled at him as the morning sun glistened. With all his remaining strength, the criminal glances up one last time to stare at the executioner, like a sheep ready for shearing.
Puzzled, the executioner stares through the slits of his mask of death.

His eyes were not pleading, in fact, they were welcoming even.

He lowers his neck on the curved crevice, and the locks are sealed shut, and with a swift singular motion, a head rolls into a bucket.

The blood gushes forth like a fountain and stains the executioner.

The sky turns red for a split second, and it appears that the high sun is covered by a black moon. The executioner looks up.

You are the executor, and your fate is sealed predestined to die, to live forever. by @pavlraphael

Do i have to keep proving im human in order for my work to retain its value? How do I navigate the world of AI as an artist or as a designer? What does the future hold for us considering that our work is now being automated. Do i need to prove my human suffering in order for my art to gain value or should i choose how i inevitably shed blood to obtain higher levels of beauty, perfection or truths. If the advancement of technology's technocratic progress no longer indicates the ascension of our art then how exactly are we going to ascend? I firmly believe that going back to traditional art is the way forward. To go back to the fundamentals of this noble sport. Yes art is a sport. There are unspoken rules and also strategies to play better. Ive always tried to be the best artist in class, but now in a globalized world we cannot ignore the sheer amount of competition that exists. Not only are we competing with each other artistically, but also with technocrats who wield enormous power to displace artists, craftsmen or just regular workers in the art industry. What now is the value of our work?

I still am pretty much last to the AI game. Sometimes i reflect about the value of work and if my art holds any value at all. I am so used to just creating digital art for free and being exploited without credit. In a way it seems like an act of trust that when you share your face or art to the world you really dont have 100 percent of control over what they will do to your art.

For this work i did not use AI. I just used quick google searching about volumetric fog and also about dystopian kitbashing. I was still figuring out things in the 3d graphics world. Ran this on a default intel graphics mini pc with 16 gb of ram in 2020. I was well aware about the etherium and NFT craze but i never minted this because i didnt have a job back then. I spent about 20 hours modelling the spaceship and it was even animated with motion blur but i lost the MP4. I still dont know what constitutes human art or if my work carries any value at all. I am not 100 percent sure if in the future this or other works will gain or lose value.
