Hello Bookish Shop!

I was here for the soft opening, the grand opening, for all the changes, for even my new puppy’s first mirror photos. You truly are a home away from home. I have made so many friends and wonderful memories at your Shop!

I would absolutely love to join the holiday influencer event and experience the start of the magical time of year with amazing friends and people 💙 I have always loved to hype up the local community and my local indie bookshop, from all the fun new decorations and items to the menu and events found here. I feel many of my followers are local and would love to see what they can find for the holidays at the Bookish Shop. I make a lot of local content, with bookish events that I attend or going around with the corgis. 💗

Indie author’s first baby and a New York City trip.

Haunt Me Always will be out later this month and I received a proof copy the night before vacation. Which meant it came along with me! My very first book visited the sights every where I went and even made a stop at New York Comic Con at the Penguin booth.

If you’re looking for a short novella set in 1920s Hollywood as a Christmas Carol gender flipped retelling with a ghost romance then be sure to check out Haunt Me Always later this month 👻🖤

Dropping this little bit of news.

My first novella will be dropping later this month! Part of the Flipped Fairytales series with local authors, Haunt Me Always is a gender flipped retelling of The Christmas Carol set in 1920s Hollywood.

Adaline Flint’s father is about to be haunted by a ghost before Christmas, except Addie finds herself the haunted one instead. It’s a short little book with a ghost romance, a touch of Christmas, and séances.

If you’ve been collecting the Flipped Fairytales like Pokémon, I hope to have the mini books in the future and perhaps you can eventually find me at events to get them in people’s hands 🖤

It’ll be available for purchase as well on Amazon (larger size) and on Kindle Unlimited.

I am off on family vacation this week + New York Comic Con. It’s a scary thing to put this out there but looking forward to my first book being published in the world and getting the start to many more eventually! by @pawsomepages

I cannot believe the end of an Era is over and what an ending! 🖤 I love everything VE Schwab writes but Victorious feels extra special, as the first book Vicious was the one that introduced me to her.

Victorious is absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read! It finally releases TOMORROW, Oct 6, and you’ll want to get this in your hands ASAP!

Victor Vale and Eli Ever are names that will stick with me throughout my entire lifetime and after more than a decade we finally have our conclusion to all the stories that had begun with these two. It was truly a masterpiece to read and my absolute favorite of the trilogy!

Every one that has loved the first two need to go into this one blind and experience all the feelings together. It was, for me, a satisfying ending. It was the way I felt it needed to go and brought tears to my eyes as I read the last pages. Both villains and heroes, always walking the morally grey line, we say goodbye to these characters in the only way that it felt right to end it.

Thank you @torbooks for blessing me with the physical ARC, it will be treasured forever!

So… what is your death count? 💀

I have to hand it to @rebeccayarros she has made a fun “choose your own way to die by dragon (and occasional cadet)” game 🤣

I may have spent way too long going through so many options and STILL I have only bonded to like 3 on alt emails. I continue to try on my main (and first) email for my true bond!

I do find all the ways of death far too amusing.

Hope everyone gets their dragon at the end! And do not continue to meet Malek over and over again.

✨COVER REVEAL FOR BARGAINING WITH BEASTS!✨
I’m so EXCITED to help reveal the cover of BARGAINING WITH BEASTS by @danaswiftbooks!

Illustration was done by the beyond talented @charliebowater and the cover design was by the amazing @anto_marrt. BARGAINING WITH BEASTS comes out June 15, 2027 with @wednesdaybooks! You can preorder now!

This cover is EPIC and is going to look so amazing next to the first novel! When Dealing With Dragons has been one of my favorite reads this year and I cannot wait to read more in this world! 💗

Here’s the description:
Dana Swift returns to the enchanting world of When Dealing With Dragons with a swoony new couple, fake-dating, coworkers-to-lovers, and even more intrigue!

It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you’re the best.

The Quinn family motto is you’re the best, or you’re nothing. That’s how they stay on top of Hardsill’s silver-crafting society. Unfortunately for middle daughter Teagan, she’s never been the best at anything, besides getting into trouble. So when poachers steal her dragon, she’s more than ready to bend the rules to save her dear animal’s life—and a boy with green eyes isn’t going to stop her.

Being held at knife-point by a pretty girl isn’t the worst thing that’s happened to Fin Barry. Not when he’s a ‘lowly’ iron-crafter parenting his little sister, paying off his grandfather’s debt, and working as a double-agent to end dragon poaching. When Teagan Quinn insists they go undercover and fake-date to find her dragon and destroy the worst poaching ring in Hardsill, it could be the answer to all his problems. As long as he can stop himself from falling in love. He knows the stakes of romance across metal classes far too well.

But Teagan and Fin can’t help blurring the lines between reality and the lie, even while the fallout of a society-shattering revelation crashes around them. Together, they’ll have to bargain beyond the old system, because it’s not just dragon lives at stake.

Bonding with dragons gave humans the ability to metal craft—now dragon-kind is in need of saving in the must-read Bargaining with Beasts. by @pawsomepages

You know what October 1st means.

Will your dragon be waiting for you?

Check out Dragonkind.com and don’t let yourself get torched as I had that first time. Let’s face it, I probably wouldn’t have survived to get to Threshing Day in the Riders Quadrant.

Have you gotten your dragon yet? Have you read Threshing Day yet?

Threshing Day is absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me! I laughed, I teared up, I was left with so many theories and questions. Everything. I could have wanted, the little bite of dragons and Empyrean series to sate me until the next. Thank you so much @rebeccayarros for feeding us so well! I will be here for the next, whenever it is good and ready. 🖤

Also, I always said I could only hope after all books are out, that I wish there would just be a novella or short stories of the dragons talking gossiping about the humans. To be in the minds of the dragons! After this book, I was left cackling with ideas. I know I most likely will have to be satisfied with my own thoughts.

Dragon Huggie from Target and it is so soft and amazing, going to be taking this with me on my trip to NYC next week!

In the battle of angels vs demons tonight… I think the Angel won. 🪽

Sevro spotlight tonight during The Wretched Divine tour stop! Thank you @changinghands for hosting a wonderful event and to @authoradalyngrace and @alexbracken for the great time!!

The Wretched Divine has been one of my top reads this year and I absolutely loved celebrating every step of the way. I was so glad to be there at SDCC in full cosplay and again tonight, but the true star ended up my angelic corgi who spent the evening as Adalyn’s companion instead. He definitely enjoyed his nap on stage! 😂

I cannot wait to continue celebrating this series with everyone! 🖤 It was so amazing to spend the evening with so many friends there, too!

Happy The Love Hypothesis Day!

I cannot believe we have Olive and Adam available to watch as a full length movie. The Love Hypothesis was my first Ali Hazelwood book and it will forever be my favorite! To see this book come alive in a movie adaptation makes me so excited and I’m watching it as soon as possible!

I will forever be happy that I’ve gotten my signed copies of The Love Hypothesis to cherish. The full page doodle is the movie adaptation cover and I was SO shocked to see the tradition live on with the biggest corgi butt yet by the amazing Ali Hazelwood. 🥹

I’ll always be Ali’s fan and corgi gal and always so thankful for the 🍑 doodles. 🥰

QOTD: Is there a tv/movie adaptation you are looking for or wish will be adapted?
