Candid post for this last season!
After finishing up 2025 and my 2nd season playing disc golf, it wouldn't have been complete without the help of a few people and pieces of gear:
@westsidegolfdiscs for the amazing molds that have helped me throw better over time, as well as bagging some incredible aces (16 of 18 so far!)
@columbia1938 not just for their outdoor apparel for the elements, but also their Redmond hiking boots for grip and handling the mountains!
@discbaron for the premium plastic and off-season upgrades! 😁

After a long week of working and travelling around the Front Range north and south of Colorado, I decided to tackle a new course off my @udiscapp wishlist - HeHa Pines.

Located in the nestle of Indian Hills on the HeHa Homestead, the namesake of Dan "Woody" Henderson and Nicole Hanson Henderson (He+Ha!), it's a semi-private course that can be accessed through invite once you connect and get to him as a property owner and aspiring amateur course designer!

This is an amazing first attempt that he guided me through and showed me all the potential lines, features, landmarks, the history since its inception in 2019, and even going as far as to spray paint the island Mandos I had to make for certain holes!

Nestled in the downhill backyard property is an 1.5 acreage that is a perfect introductory to wooded disc golf and mountain disc golf. It utilizes 6 baskets for 18 holes that weave across the property, much like the mini RC car circuit course slowly expanding adjacent to the neighbors and some tall grass nestled on the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains. If you cross these property lines. It's best to let Woody know so he can go get your disc from those OBs. The tall grass can even be played as a optional pro OB. It uses many Mandos through tree lines marked with letter signage, uphill and downhill. Two holes require you to hit the required island Mando, a 33 foot circle marked with spray paint. There is also a hanging basket in play. Most of the holes range from 173 to 268 feet with a par 56, two holes as par 4 wraparound Mandos uphill to the furthest basket corner to corner.

Well, with most of these holes in my wheelhouse, it felt like the perfect opportunity to break in my new Tursas', Underworld forehands, and Gatekeepers, and with a chance for a longer turn and fade approach on Hole 11, I went for it.

after watching 5 people in the last week throw remarkably in their own ways, I finally was vindicated!!!!
