🪖 Support a Veteran. Change a Life. Every veteran deserves a place to reconnect, reset, and find purpose again. We are less than 6 days from our Support-A-Veteran (SAVE) campaign, where you can help cover the costs for travel, meals, and programs that change lives and make a lasting difference. 🇺🇸 100% of your donation goes directly to veterans. 🇺🇸 Every dollar helps someone find their footing again. ➡️ Join the campaign: donate.pbabbate.org/SAVECampaign ➡️ Share the mission. Spread the word. Stand with us. #patrolbaseabbate #supportaveteran #save #veteranshelpingveterans #veteransday by @pbabbate
One of the best parts of the Patrol Base is what happens after the day is done. After spending the day reconnecting with people you just met, but who somehow feel like friends you've known for years, you gather around the campfire for guided conversations that encourage honesty, reflection, and connection. Those discussions often become the moments that stay with you long after the program ends. Then you look up. Far from the noise and distractions of everyday life, the Montana sky reveals some of the most incredible stars in the lower 48. It's a simple reminder of how small we are, how connected we can be, and how meaningful these moments truly are. There isn't a better way to end the day. #patrolbaseabbate #veteransupport #tribe by @pbabbate

It's not how you served. It's because you served. Patrol Base Abbate was founded by Marine Officer Tom Schueman and named for Sgt Matt Abbate, Marine Sniper and Navy Cross Recipient KIA on Dec 2, 2010. The Patrol Base is a 60-acre, off-grid property located in NW Montana and brings veterans together for our premier Return to Base programs. The NYC Chapter is building that same thing here: a space where Veterans can come together to rebuild connection, rediscover purpose, and strengthen their sense of identity after military service. Follow along for upcoming events and ways to connect. Return to base. #PatrolBaseAbbate #ReturnToBase #VeteransNYC #NYCVeterans by @pbabbate

And just like that, we’ve closed out the final RTB of the 2026 season! 🤿 19 veterans traveled to Roatán, Honduras, for an unforgettable experience exploring a beautifully protected reef system, with six days of diving and up to five dives a day. Beneath the surface and around the dinner table, community, connection, and purpose came to life through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, mindfulness, and reef cleanups. A heartfelt thank you to @coco_view_resort, the CoCo III boat crew, @docksidedivecenter and our incredible dive club captains. Your dedication made this experience possible! And to our generous donors and supporters: thank you for making these life-changing experiences possible at absolutely no cost to veterans. None of this is possible without your support! **12 premier RTB programs. Nearly 400 veterans impacted. One incredible tribe.** We close out 2026 with full hearts, lifelong memories, and deeper connections. Want to help a veteran experience an RTB? We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to @vtsrecruiting for hosting the 2nd Annual Salute to Service Golf Tournament and for once again bringing together an incredible group of sponsors, partners, and supporters in support of Patrol Base Abbate. What makes an event like this so meaningful is not simply what is raised to support veterans but the intentionality, generosity, and commitment behind it. Every sponsor, every participant, and every person who helped make this day possible chose to invest in those who have served our country and we are deeply humbled by that support. Your generosity helps make it possible for Patrol Base Abbate to continue creating life-changing opportunities for veterans to reconnect to community, connection, and purpose through our Return To Base programs! To Vector and our sponsors, Ditch Witch, Vermeer, Premier Truck Rentals (PTR), and United Rentals, who all continue to stand behind our mission: thank you. Thank you for your willingness to continue to serve those who have served. Thank you for showing up with enthusiasm and purpose. And thank you for believing that investing in veterans and the power of community can truly change lives. We are honored to have you in our corner and grateful to call you part of the PBA tribe. Thank you for saluting service and for helping us carry the mission forward.  #salutetoservice #rtb #patrolbaseabbate #veterans by @pbabbate

Music Club has officially wrapped up its 2026 Return To Base and what a way to close out the Montana season! This was the first Music RTB since the original program in 2021, and it was a huge hit thanks to our volunteers captains, mentors, and to all the participants. Veterans came together to write and share songs, collaborate, explore through free play, and have meaningful discussions, all centered around a shared love of music. The songwriting was especially powerful. Veterans put real experiences, emotions, and stories into their music, creating an open, vulnerable, and meaningful space to share parts of themselves that can be difficult to put into words. And, like every Return To Base, the real magic came together around the fireside, where songs turned into stories, strangers became a community, and open conversations created connection and purpose. We’re grateful to every participant, musician, volunteer, and supporter who made this week possible and to all the veterans who trusted PBA and took the chance to reconnect. Music Club closes out our Montana-based RTBs for the 2026 season. What a year. Last on deck, Dive Club!

Run Club has officially wrapped up its inaugural 2026 Return To Base! Veterans came together at the Patrol Base in Thompson Falls, Montana, united by a shared passion or interest in running but, like every RTB, they left with something far more meaningful than miles ran. From miles along mountain trails and rivers to yoga, meditation, meaningful discussions, service, and evenings around the campfire, the week created space to slow down, reconnect, and build community. We’re grateful to every participant, coach, volunteer, and supporter who made the week possible, and most of all, to the veterans who trusted PBA, embraced the discomfort and sore legs, and took the chance to reconnect. Another group leaving the Patrol Base with a renewed sense of community, connection, and purpose.
