I originally wanted to post this for pride month just so I could say I did something for it but I didn’t want to post something just to post it. Lately I’ve been very hard on myself. I feel like with how scary things have gotten with ai and the dumb algorithm, there’s this pressure for artists to make things for the world rather than themselves. Like, if they post something it HAS to be filled with buzz words that get the most clicks, something that is relevant that people will like. I’ve struggled with this type of thought process in my day to day life- wondering if I’m a good wife, a good worker, or even a good artist. And I made this to remind myself that I don’t need to prove that to anyone because that’s not what life is about. Art is art because a real human being made it. Sometimes, the best thing about this life is just being there to live and say that you lived it. Special thanks to my darling husband and my dog who make sure I always feel loved. by @pbandceli

I found it appropriate for Shadow to be the subject of this piece as he’s used to beating up scumbags in uniforms ☺️ These are scary times we are in but we are not alone.
