In my early Colorado years, I found joy in helping a good friend put on house shows all over Denver and Boulder. I even got to host my own about a Decade ago in my backyard.

So it seems fitting that I revisit that magic by having the extraordinary @olivia.the.bard serenade us on my deck this upcoming Sunday. Her songs and stories about all the wonder and pain found in this beautiful thing called life hit all the emotional notes. Come listen to the power of her voice and beauty of her banjo.

Leaving a successful real estate business in Denver to start over in Aspen and The Roaring Fork Valley with low inventory, way less sales, and where seemingly everyone has a real estate license is not for the faint of heart 😅. On top of that there were wounds at the time from a divorce and what can only be described as the most painful of family collapses.

But I did it! Through a combination of hard work and healing (its own beautiful kind of hard work) last year my production got up to what it was back in Denver.

Not going to lie, I still feel like I am figuring it out. But aren’t we all? That’s what makes this life the wonderful journey that it is.

To all of you who trusted me to guide you through a transaction, to all of my agent friends across the country who referred your clients to me, or friends around here that sent your people my way, thank you! It really does mean the world.

Thanks also to this beautiful community I’ve found that holds me so dearly. You’re everything. 💙💙💙💙

The one river in the state that felt like had decent water on this drought year happens to be the one right across Highway 133 from my place. And we got about a month out of it. 🔥

I’ve been dancing with water in a kayak longer than I’ve been doing pretty much anything else. Today, on my likely last 2026 lap through the Crystal Narrows , I found myself thinking that Pete at 19, 29, and 39 years old would be pretty stoked about the way 49 year old Pete engages with this sport that really did beat the odds in so capturing a Queer 1990’s teenager in Wheaton, IL.

@thenetworkatcompass meetup in the city that raised me started with a lakeside rave with the incomparable @sarahwjenema (of course!), then progressed into a couple of days of learning, growing and sharing ideas with some of the best Compass Agents from around the country. I’m so blessed to be a part of this group that truly gets vulnerable, pushes each other and is passionate about serving our clients well. Even better that I biked all over this beautiful city from meeting to meeting, spent some quality time in with family right as I flew in, and caught the kind of sunset that reminded me where home truly is just before landing back in Colorado. taken in Chicago, IL by @pbellande

Couldn’t be happier to get my clients into not only a great income producing investment, but into such a cool historic building downvalley! My client and friend @sarahlandenwich wrote the best kind of novel -beautiful wordcraft, characters in whom I feel invested, a compelling plot that makes me carve out time to see what happens, and a story that takes me to a new time and place (in this case, the romantic era classical music scene in Poland). Writing about music is hard to do and she nails it!

Highly recommend!
