Dream it. Create it. Work toward it. 🌟

At our @pctiteencenter, @pctvs1 students recently put their goals on paper with a vision board activity that had them get creative while thinking about their interests, ambitions, and what they want their futures to look like.

It’s just one of the many ways the Teen Center gives PCTVS students a place to connect, create, recharge, and explore what’s possible — all while having a safe and supportive space to call their own after school.

Interested, Bulldogs? Come check it out and meet our mentors:

📍 Office Hours: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
📚 After School: 3:00–5:00 PM
Mon/Wed/Fri: Wellness Center

Congratulations to PCTI Student of the Month, Arian Pashtuniar!

Arian is a motivated student in PCTI’s School of Construction Technology, where he studies Carpentry and develops his skills through hands-on learning. He enjoys taking concepts introduced in the classroom and applying them directly in the shop while working with a variety of materials.

Being named PCTI’s September Student of the Month recognizes Arian’s strong academic performance and involvement in the school community. His dedication to his studies is reflected in his impressive 4.2 GPA.

“I chose Carpentry because I enjoy taking what we learn in the classroom and using it hands-on in the shop, where we get to experience building with many different materials,” Arian shared. The program has helped him strengthen his practical skills while seeing how classroom instruction applies to real-world projects.

Beyond his CTE program, Arian serves on the board of the Muslim Student Association, where he contributes to the school community while building leadership skills and working alongside his peers.

Outside of PCTI, Arian works at a restaurant, giving him firsthand insight into the daily operations of a business and what it takes to keep a restaurant running.

After high school, Arian plans to attend a four-year university and earn a degree in mechanical engineering. His experience in Carpentry, combined with his interest in building and problem-solving, has helped shape his future goals.

This year’s theme, “Embrace the Moment,” reminds Arian to stay focused on the present. “To me, ‘Embrace the Moment’ means not getting too fixated on the past or worrying about the future, but rather focusing on what is going on in the present,” he said. “Taking it one step at a time and focusing on what we have right now is very beneficial.”

Congratulations, Arian! Your achievements make you a valued member of the PCTI community. We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish! by @pctvs1

Congratulations to PCTI Student of the Month, Carla Batista Vidal!

Carla is an outstanding student in PCTI’s School of Education and Human Services, where her interest in working with children has grown through meaningful classroom and hands-on experiences. She values the opportunity to build relationships with students while learning how educators and human service professionals can make a positive impact in their lives.

Being named PCTI’s September Student of the Month recognizes Carla’s academic achievement and active involvement throughout the school community. Her commitment to her education is reflected in her impressive 4.14 GPA.

“I chose Education and Human Services because I want to work with children,” Carla shared. “What I enjoy most is having the opportunity to volunteer at schools, create relationships with the students in my classroom, and know that I am contributing to their growth.” Those experiences have reinforced her interest in pursuing a career centered on helping children.

Carla is highly involved both at PCTI and outside of school. She is a member of the National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, SkillsUSA, Future Educators Association, Student Council, and Book Club. She also serves as a student ambassador for the School of Education and Human Services and helps teach children’s classes at her church.

After high school, Carla plans to attend college and study exercise physiology with the goal of becoming an occupational therapist. She hopes to work with children with special needs and disabilities, continuing to build on the experiences that have shaped her interests throughout high school.

This year’s theme, “Embrace the Moment,” is a reminder for Carla to appreciate the experiences happening around her. “To me, ‘Embrace the Moment’ means enjoying where you are right now,” she said. “If something makes you happy or makes you laugh, take a step back and appreciate it. You’re never going to live that moment again, so do everything you can to live it to the fullest.”

Congratulations, Carla! Your academic achievement and dedication make you a valued member of PCTI. We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish! by @pctvs1
