We are introducing our 3 foundational pillars during Mental Health Awareness Month.
First up: Awareness.
A key pillar to everything we do at PD3, it all starts with spreading awareness. Talking more about our struggles and normalizing conversation is crucial.
At PD3 we promote awareness through our annual community football tournament and our annual high school seven-on-seven tournament. Throughout this event on June 15 and 16, we have mental health professional on-site to talk about mental health, and raise money for our outreach programs. We’re also excited to expand into more events in the future, including golf tournaments and fundraising walks. by @pd3foundation

September is Suicide Prevention Month. 💙

This month, we’re reminded that a simple conversation, a check-in, or letting someone know they’re not alone can make a difference.

Suicide prevention starts with connection. It starts with asking, “How are you really doing?” and being willing to listen without judgment.

If you’re struggling, please know that you matter, your life matters, and you don’t have to walk through it alone. And if you’re worried about someone you love, reach out. Sometimes, the smallest gesture can open the door to the help they need.

Let’s use this month to check in, speak openly, listen more, and remind the people around us that they are never alone. 💙

Last night, we hosted our 5th annual PD3 Foundation football tournament. 🏈

This event is about reaching young men, like Parker, right where they are, and reminding them that it’s okay to not be okay, and that there are resources and people who care deeply about them.

We’re grateful to have USC Athletics Hall of Fame member, 9-year NFL veteran, and mental health advocate Corey Miller return as our guest speaker. Corey’s testimony is one that always resonates with the high school athletes who attend, and his message continues to touch our hearts year after year.

Thank you to everyone who helped us honor Parker’s legacy and love of football in such a meaningful way. 💙❤️ taken in Cardinal Newman School - Columbia, SC by @pd3foundation

Congratulations to this year’s Parker DuBois Memorial Scholarship recipient, Belle Gill. ❤️🤍💙

In honor of Parker, this scholarship is awarded to a Cardinal Newman senior who is passionate about making a difference in the mental health space.

Belle plans to pursue a career in Health Communication with the goal of bridging the gap between providers, patients, and communities. Her vision to advocate for mental health and ensure people feel seen, heard, and supported is exactly what this scholarship represents.

To all of the incredible applicants, thank you for sharing your stories, your hearts, and your dreams with us. Your passion for helping others and breaking the stigma around mental health is inspiring and a powerful reminder that no one has to walk through these struggles alone. taken in Cardinal Newman School - Columbia, SC by @pd3foundation

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re expanding our partnerships into North Carolina, with Potter Counseling & Consulting and Wynns Family Psychology, to increase access to mental health care in the Chapel Hill area. We’re also grateful to be renewing our partnership with Live Oak Counseling Center in Columbia, SC, for a second year! 💙

To date, we’ve donated $40,000 to these efforts—and we’re just getting started! Honoring the legacy of Parker DuBois, we remain committed to making mental health care more accessible for all.
