Today marks the moment. After today, I'm no longer a North Carolinian. Today is the day I let my dream lead the way. I have been offered the incredible opportunity to be a full-time costume designer with the most wonderful non-profit dance studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico! (And I leave TODAY!) This position checks every single box I could've considered, and I am SO excited to get out there and start creating! I really don't have words for how important North Carolina has become to me, and I'm having an even harder time expressing just how much I'm going to miss my community here. I am so lucky to have the friends that I do and to be surrounded by so much adventure. I've been able to have some of the coolest work opportunities here, including two seasons at Carowinds and stagehanding. The only thing I'm ready to leave behind is the humidity. Wowowowow. This is only part of our trip, but I can't help but share now! I finally caught my first show on Broadway! It took me months to figure out which show I wanted to see, and I finally landed on Hadestown, which DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! The cast was phenomenal, with Jordan Fisher as Orpheus, Ani DiFranco as Persephone, and father-daughter duo of Jon Jon and Isa Briones playing Hermes and Eurydice. I didn't even realize that this was Isa's last show with Jordan, and their teamwork was breathtaking. I was so completely satisfied with my first time on Broadway, and then during intermission, Jake asked if I would maybe potentially want to get tickets to see Book of Mormon... right after we got out of Hadestown. We found some incredible seats only three hours before curtain, and I cannot praise that cast enough! Most of them had history with the show, and it came across beautifully! The ensemble was so on point, and I can't think of another show that made me laugh that hard. It may be a while, but I'm already looking forward to my next Broadway show! by @pdxginge

Hey Corndog, it's that time of year again, and this one was a doozy. You're 25! Enough to have a quarter life crisis, isn't that right Calcite? It has been an honor, Celery, truly, to see you excel this year. You deserve every ounce of recognition you've been earning, and every opportunity that comes your way Centipede. I have gotten to see you grow for Ten. Whole. Years. Cucumber. An entire decade of us taking on the world together, and I wouldn't give up a moment of it, Champion. Getting to see you in your element and watching you work towards your dreams is one of the deepest joys of my life, Chimpanzee, and I'm so grateful to have you as my best friend. This was the first time in a long time that I got to celebrate with you, and I can't thank you enough Capitalism. Really and truly. You, Cairo, are such a light in the lives of everyone you meet.
