🏀 Getting kids on the same side starts with putting them on the same court.

Through PeacePlayers and other #SportForGood programmes, young people use sport to defeat violence so that #EveryoneWins 👏

Yesterday, some of our players took part in the Brooklyn Peace League Program at the Cultural Arts Academy Center.

They participated in several drills to help the youth improve their basketball skills while also discussing how to establish good habits and build consistency!

25 years of using basketball to bring young people together across lines of division.

Last Thursday, we marked our 25th anniversary celebrating some of our alums whose journey show what that work builds over time. Neta, Duha and Jinan met as teammates in our Israel and West Bank program. Their friendship has held through war, loss and deepening division. Coach Alona showed what it takes to make that possible. Alesha Smith showed how the same work reaches girls in Brooklyn today. Dana Kaduri shared what the program has meant for her daughters and her family.

This milestone has laid the foundation for what comes next and for us, a key part of that is girls and young women. The PeacePlayers Global Girls Campaign is our three-year effort to remove the barriers that keep girls in communities affected by conflict from sport, leadership and opportunity.

In Year 1, we showed up at tentpole moments in sports to bring the necessary visibility to our effort— NBA All-Star, UNRIVALED and WNBA All-Star. We launched the Candace Parker Academy in Los Angeles, welcomed partners such as AMEX Leadership Academy, @pincusfamilyfoundation , WK Kellogg Foundation, National Women’s Law Center, @wslam.

Year 2 builds toward the Girls Summit, April 8 to 11, 2027 in Chicago, where we are working to bring together girls and coaches from every PeacePlayers site for the first time.

Like Coach said, the goal is always to get better—and there’s more than one way to impact the game. 🏀

PeacePlayers Brooklyn were excited to partner with Nike NYC for a 2nd year to take part in the NY vs NY clinic, bringing together youth from @growourgame and @wegotnext_ny

At the SCI Clinic, our young hoopers worked on their skills, competed with energy, used their voices, and learned how to help their teammates succeed. Coaches brought the message, and the players brought the work!

Thank you to Nike for creating a special day of basketball, learning, and community at Victory Park. Just getting started. 💪🏾

This summer was AMAZING! 🔥

Over six weeks, PeacePlayers Detroit had BIG FUN, youth strengthened their Math and ELA skills, explored entrepreneurship, learned real life and leadership skills, tried new sports, enjoyed swimming and field trips and expressed themselves with creativity. Oh and they ate good! 😋

They formed new friendships, grew in confidence and discovered what’s possible when young people have safe spaces to learn, grow and belong! 🚀

Thank you to all of our partners, sponsors, supporters, coaches, parents and everyone who made this summer so special and impactful for our young people! ⚡️

We’ll take these memories, lessons and relationships far beyond this summer.

5 moves to lock in, STAT! 🔒

🧠 Protect your focus. Everything doesn’t deserve your attention.

⏱️ Do the small things now. Little tasks become big problems when you keep putting them off.

🤝 Build real relationships. The right people can teach you, support you, and open doors.

📵 Create space from distractions. Your environment matters more than your willpower.

🏀 Treat growth like practice. You don’t have to be perfect every day. But you do have to keep showing up.

Whether it’s school, work, on the court, or a goal you’ve been putting off, make the next four months count!

Let’s get it! ✌️
