Our friends @purple_mountain_observatory reveal their AW26 collection, and the grassroots outerwear brand has brought more flavour than ever.

As PMO leaves Spring Summer behind, a season that looked beyond Earth as our explorers pushed into the unknown, Autumn Winter 2026 turns its gaze back home.

Humanity has stepped away, and in the absence of our noise, nature has reclaimed its authority.

When The City Went Quiet imagines an Earth after departure. Cities are gone, while materials and structures progress begin to erode into something organic. A new ecosystem forms amongst what has been left behind. Within this landscape, a group of explorers move through the remnants of the old world, searching for signs of life.

This tension runs throughout AW26. The collection introduces an integrated system of performance wear, lightweight outerwear and an expanded fleece offering, alongside explorations into more natural fibres including Polartec® Alpha® Wool. Technical waterproof layers sit alongside softer fabrications, designed to come together in one system.

The palette follows the same relationship. Earth, soil and moss inform the collection’s natural tones, while sage, muted greys and more industrial shades retain traces of the world that came before.

The AW26 campaign brings When The City Went Quiet to life, taking the collection into an imagined world increasingly overtaken by nature. Rather than documenting a specific activity or environment, the campaign is an exploration of atmosphere and discovery.

Our explorers move through an altered landscape in search of another form of life, encountering the remains of human intervention alongside a natural world steadily reclaiming its place. by @peak_mag

The playful whimsy of the @estudio.niksen AW26 collection.

“For Fall/Winter 2026, we look toward the sea and the people who shape their lives around it. Where getting dressed is practical rather than expressive, and style emerges naturally. We imagine a wardrobe shaped by routine and harsh weather, somewhere between necessity and instinct.

Drawing from the quiet poetry of maritime life, the collection reinterprets coastal work-wear through sturdy cottons and protective outer layers designed to be lived in. Weathered textures and utilitarian forms are softened by a winter palette that reflects winter by the coast: deep navy, storm gray, muted brown and salt-washed tones. Fabrics, textures and shapes find their place naturally. At its core, the collection is grounded in tradition, re-imagined with playful elements –with an eye for craftsmanship and quiet details on pieces meant to age well, and be passed on.

The collection reflects the same idea: a wardrobe built over time, with a limited number of trusted pieces. One with clothes that are returned to by habit and worn by tradition, occasion (and celebration)”.

@zeeeeeea at UTMB With Nike @acg

This year, we sent Zaineb Abelque to capture UTMB alongside Nike ACG as they introduced us to their latest collection of garments and trail shoes fit for their race athletes.

Last year we saw the launch of the Radical Airflow along with the ACG Ultrafly, whereas this year Nike unveils Picklejus: a big-mountain trail runner with GOATEK traction innovation alongside the Chamo Camo: a terrain-inspired race collection built for the trails of Chamonix.

As well as testing new products from Nike ACG, Zee also had the opportunity to sit down and chat with some of the Nike competing athletes. Lauren Gregory, Drew Holmon and Riley Bradly gave us insight into their training processes, mental battles and the trials and tribulations they face while gearing up for a race like this.

Alongside testing the Guide Tennie out in the wild, in its natural habitat by the crag. Adidas had to make sure that it got tested in a laboratory setting.

Every technical detail scrutinised and each aspect subjected to a simulation of hundreds of thousands of steps non-stop.

GORE-TEX don’t often open up their labs to photos and videos, but this time they made an exception to allow us the freedom to capture (some of) the tests that their famed products are put through.

Some of it we definitely can’t show you. But the rule in the lab is pretty simple. If the sock’s wet, the shoe is no good.

Thanks again to @adidasoutdoor and @goretexbrand for letting us tell this story.

And of course @peak_mag for smashing the photos on this one! by @peak_mag

After putting the Guide Tennie GTX through its paces in Frankenjura, @adidasoutdoor invited us behind the scenes to see what happens before a shoe ever makes it outside.

We spent the day inside the @goretexbrand footwear lab, where the team walked us through the testing process. Machines replicating hours of walking through wet terrain to breathability, durability and leakage tests.

It turns out there’s a lot that goes into keeping your feet dry. Some of it we can show you, some of it we definitely can’t.

But the rule in the lab is pretty simple. If the sock’s wet, the shoe is no good.

Thanks @adidasoutdoor and @goretexbrand for having us.

@temp_surf_co On Tour.

While on tour with temp we managed to link up with some of Temp’s pro riders for one last surf before making the long journey back home. Again chasing the forecast we ended up at Crantock for some of the biggest yet most unforgiving waves we had seen the entire trip. Yet pro riders @dalefoster96 and @olliekeast made Crantock look like a playground.

@jane__fu__ Launches AW26

Founded in 2025, JANE FU is an unisex cashmere brand based in London. Grounded in Fu’s Indigenous Inner-Mongolian cosmology and through a narrative-based design practice, the brand follows its potential of constructing a dynamic and adaptable identity that seamlessly entangles ancestral memory with the realities of contemporary life.

Sourcing across the high-altitude plateaus of Inner Mongolia where cold, arid winters have shaped generations of resilient cashmere goats; silhouettes draw inspiration from traditional nomadic dress, not only evoke the practical realities of movement across vast terrains, but also its practical adaptation to urban landscapes. by @peak_mag

Five Ten in Frankenjura: A video diary of crag climbing with Dave Graham.

The Adidas 5.10 Guide Tennie is THE heritage approach shoe and we were lucky enough to test out the new GORE-TEX iteration with one of the brands’ most legendary climbers in tow.

With a 40 year legacy in the Guide Tennie in mind, @adidasoutdoor and @goretexbrand invited us to Southern Germany to join @dave_graham_ and @dickikorb for an afternoon of belaying, climbing and listening to stories of the old days of climbing.

But not before a techy hike in to their favourite spot– a great opportunity to feel out the Guide Tennie GTX properly on foot. by @peak_mag

@adidasoutdoor invited us to Frankenjura to spend a day with legendary climber @dave_graham_ and local legend @dickikorb, putting the Guide Tennie GTX through its paces in the environment it was built for.

The Guide Tennie story goes all the way back to 1985, when Five Ten founder Charles Cole set out to create something that could bridge the gap between the approach and the climb.

So we headed into the forest at Kühloch Tal for a day of walking, scrambling, belaying, moving between routes and eventually getting onto the rock.

A pretty good way to understand a shoe with 40 years of climbing history behind it.

Just Dropped. @alexzono x @brooksrunning

A quote from Alex Zono: “Well, obviously, the first thing I did when I got the shoe was go running.

Trip booked, and off to Chamonix we went. Because where else do you go to think about your first trail shoe? Surrounded by some of the most insane mountains in the world, the Trail Jogger started to emerge. The steep climbs, unbelievable heights and immense landscapes became the inspiration for the palette.

The first colourway is a true reflection of the mountain itself, inspired by the rocks, snow and clouds you experience up there. The second is much more closely tied to the core Alex Zono colours — the OG hat, which in many ways was the catalyst for everything that came after. So I felt like I had to pay a little cheeky homage to it.

Created together with Brooks, we wanted the Ghost Trail to help take you from your front door into a world of butterflies, grazing cows and endless mountain trails.

Really, it’s a shoe for those who just dig running.” by @peak_mag
