For the last two years, Darrin Haugen, Peak’s Chief Product Officer, has spearheaded the effort to embed PEAK Lôc8™ into our skis—a challenge that was far easier to envision than to achieve. Among many hurdles, Darrin worked tirelessly with our technology partners @Pebblebee to engineer a device tough enough to endure the intense heat and pressure of ski production while still delivering the precision and durability you expect from Peak.

After testing the tech on the slopes himself, Darrin shared:
“I am extremely impressed with the performance of the PEAK Lôc8™ equipped Bode 98 that I’ve been skiing during this recent Montana storm cycle. The 98 is one of the best all-mountain skis ever produced, and the design integration of the Lôc8 device is very seamless, simple, and intuitive. You have no idea it’s there while skiing, and it allows for both global and local location info on your skis when you need it. It has turned out exactly as I envisioned when it was first conceptualized.”

Innovation takes time, but trust us—it’s worth the wait.

Spent the day in Las Vegas for #CES2025 yesterday, where I had the chance to showcase PEAK Lôc8™ powered by our tech partners @Pebblebee and @Nordicsemi

Being part of @CES means a lot to the entire Peak team, especially since PEAK Lôc8™ is a major part of our innovation efforts this year. I’m excited to announce that PEAK Lôc8™ will be featured in the 25/26 Peak lineup. Despite a few hurdles along the way, we’re full steam ahead on pushing the boundaries of tech in skiing. by @peakskis

Peak Skis: Pushing boundaries again.

Two years in the making and built on relentless innovation, we’re proud to announce that 25/26 Peak Skis will feature PEAK Lôc8™—our cutting-edge tracking and locating technology co-developed with @Pebblebee. What began with duct tape and Apple Airtags during backcountry training for Denali has transformed into a revolutionary tool for skiers everywhere.

Unveiling this week at CES in Vegas, PEAK Lôc8™ is ready to help you track your skis anywhere, anytime—on the slopes, while traveling, and even as a theft deterrent. With Google Android certification complete and Apple certification on the way, we’re making waves in the tech world before taking the ski industry by storm.

Innovation isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are. Try Peak and experience what’s next. #CES2025 #PeakLoc8 #SkiInnovation by @peakskis
