Hi, I’m Kamilla 👋🏼

Allow me to (re)introduce myself, since a lot of you are new here.

I illustrate animals, people and nature. But that’s the art side.

The rest of me: I work as a marketer, I dance every chance I get, and I’m currently writing my first novel 📖 Oh, and I loooove to travel! This year alone took me from the east coast of Australia to Singapore, Thailand, and my Nordic neighbors Denmark and Sweden. Latvia’s next 🗺️

Yeah I don’t have a desk.

My ‘studio’ is either curled up in my favourite chair, or on a picnic blanket outside. Since I mostly illustrate animals, I feel like it makes sense anyways 🌱

And that’s the glory of using an iPad. I can literally be creative anywhere; on the metro to work; on a bench in the park; sometimes in a plane seat flying over countries ✈️

But, it would be nice with a dedicated space for my art. Maybe I’ll get a desk someday.

This was my first sold piece, and probably one I’ll never forget🫶🏼

I didn’t plan on it at all. I just shared it in a reel and a friend asked if it was available. And I said yes before I’d really thought about it.

What I didn’t expect was how this single piece pulled a thread I didn’t know was there. I suddenly had a collection that actually made sense together🍂✨

That collection is what I’m bringing to Floke Marked next month.

I almost flew through an airport that got bombed a few hours later.

I know this isn’t about me. But I want to be honest about how hopeless I felt. Why do I get this safe life, when so many people are suffering right now?

The Lunar New Year in Singapore let me know about the symbolism behind the horse. A reminder we should all hear from time to time.

A horse is gentle, and still it goes to war. Not from instinct, but from love.

One horse might die in battle. But an army can still win.
