If your website runs on PHP, it needs a security update this week.

On 21 October, two critical flaws were patched in PHP itself, both rated 9.2 out of 10. Worst case, someone can run their own code on your web server without logging in.

This isn’t a plugin problem. PHP is the language your site runs on, so it doesn’t matter how tidy your plugins are or which CMS you use

Older versions are the bigger risk, because they don’t get fixes at all. Plenty of business sites still run on them, usually because nobody’s been asked to check.

How to check yours

Sorted on the same day. We stay ahead of the curve.

The first photo ever uploaded to the internet: a comedy band at CERN.

Not a groundbreaking scientific discovery. Not a historic moment. A comedy band. That's the internet's origin story and honestly? Checks out.
