Sometimes you just have to scratch your head....

When a customer comes to you saying their gears are slipping the first check is usually the chain and cassette. Turns out the problem was a little more obvious... the chainring is absolutely mashed. New chainring incoming to get this ride back on the road.

GROW YOUR OWN — EP. 03 🌱

Running your own business isn’t just about learning new things. Sometimes, it’s about unlearning what you thought you knew.

For Episode 3, we asked our independent business owners: “What’s something you’ve had to unlearn as a business owner?”

From perfectionism to people-pleasing, to the pressure to have all the answers, building something of your own comes with plenty of lessons along the way.

Real businesses. Real people. Real lessons.

Watch Episode 3 and see what our founders had to say themselves. 👀 by @pedalbackcycling

MEET YOUR NEWEST LOCAL! 🚲✨

We caught up with Nicky & Ria, the duo behind Pedal Back Cycling to hear more about the story behind this independent cycling studio, their passion for getting people moving and why they’re doing things a little differently.

From their high quality workshop to a welcoming community atmosphere, Pedal Back is all about making cycling feel accessible, social and seriously fun. Whether you’re new to the bike or a seasoned rider, there’s a place for you here.

We’re so excited to have Pedal Back as part of the growing New Acres community bringing a new way to move, train and connect to the neighbourhood. 🚲

Things you see in the workshop.... torque settings are there for a reason.. ignore them at your peril. This customer learned the hard way that you don't mess with torque especially with carbon.

Suffering with Post-Parton depression.

Our favourite Dolly quotes:

We're seeing some mad bike fails in the workshop, is the crazy hot weather taking its toll or has this guy got legs of steel?

What a ride... from small acorns and all that. Twelve years ago a tiny unit in Broadway Market, Tooting became the start of our Pedal Back journey. Four years later dodgy landlords and rent hikes forced us out and we happily found a new home in West Brompton as part of the @earlscourtdevco family. We are now thrilled to say that in addition to our Lillie Road base we are now open in @newacreswandsworth , Wandsworth.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day... and we are OPEN!!!

Come through, say hi, drop your bike in for some tlc and get to know your new neighbours.
