“From deserts to jungles, from silence to chaos…
these moments are why I keep pedaling.

In less than a month, I’ll be heading to my biggest and longest adventure of the year:
Indonesia 🇮🇩 → Timor-Leste 🇹🇱

An ultra endurance race.
1.5 months on the bike.
And a route full of unknowns.

But this time feels different.

Flights are uncertain.
The world feels tense.
And sometimes, even getting there doesn’t feel guaranteed.

I’ve been lucky to travel across so many countries.
USA, Iran, Israel…
And everywhere, I’ve met the same thing:
good people.

Kind, welcoming, human.

It’s hard to understand why the world keeps choosing conflict.

I just hope things calm down.
I hope we can move freely again.
I hope this adventure can start the way it should: in peace.

Until then… we keep moving.”

Can you guess where the Ultra Race starts? 👀

It’s been a little quiet around here lately.

I’ve needed some time away from Instagram. Time to disconnect, work, ride, and just live without feeling like everything needs to be shared.

I know Instagram probably prefers constant posting, but honestly… I’d rather disappear for a while than post something just for the sake of posting. When I share something here, I want it to mean something to me.

And this one does.

A few weeks ago, I rode this crazy 220 km loop with more than 6,000 m of elevation, starting in Andorra, crossing France and coming back into Catalonia. Almost 24 hours of riding, plenty of hike-a-bike, and some of the most incredible landscapes I’ve ever experienced on a bike.

But the most special part of this ride started thousands of metres above the ground.

A few days earlier, while I was working in the cockpit, we were flying over the Pyrenees. I looked out of the window and saw this huge, wild gravel climb cutting through the mountains.

I had no idea where it was. I just remember thinking:
I need to ride that.

As soon as I landed, I opened the maps and started looking for it.

Port d’Aula.

And a few days later, there I was… climbing the exact road I had discovered from the sky.

There’s something pretty special about that.

Sometimes you see a place from far away and it stays somewhere in your head until one day you find yourself right there, suffering your way up it, completely surrounded by nature.

This ride reminded me why I love doing this.

Not for numbers. Not for Instagram.
For the feeling.

For the places you discover, the stories you collect, and those moments when you realise that something you once saw from a plane is now right underneath your wheels.

I hope you’ve all been well.

It feels good to be back. 🤍

A photo recap of our session together with special guest: Aleix from Spain, we showed him a bit of Dago's backroad route with sketchy alleys and small forests. The session continued with a discussion about his ultracycling experience around the world. Interestingly, he emphasises more on the importance of having mental resilience on your long-distance journey.

Thank you for the valuable insight and we hope to see you again on another cycling journey, stay tuned for the full video. Ride on!

Bandung with the dream team 🇮🇩

Tea fields, jungle roads, big smiles…
then BOOM! Rain, floods, cars stuck everywhere.

And us? just laughing and riding through it like kids.

I love tea, I love this place, and I definitely love these rides.

Hidden gem kind of days.

FARTHEST POINT OF MY LIFE
14.067 km from home.

To get there it took:

— 4 flights covering almost 14.000 km
— 1.500 km on my bike
— 13-hour bus ride
— jumping between countless islands
— and 32 days since leaving home.

All of that… just to stand at one single point on the map.

And when I finally stopped the bike under the burning sun, surrounded by locals silently staring at the stranger who had arrived on two wheels… I checked the coordinates.

At that exact moment, I realized that the place where my two feet and my bike were standing was the farthest point I had ever been from home in my entire life.

Goosebumps.

And somehow, that moment happened in Timor-Leste.
One of the least known countries on Earth.
A place most people will never hear about, and even fewer will ever reach.

It’s hard to explain the feeling with words.
But for the first time in my life, I truly felt far away.
Very far away.

And at the same time, more alive than ever.

It’s incredible how far a strong mind and two wheels can take you.

Feeling nomad.

“POV: you stop for 2 minutes and become a celebrity 😂📸

No idea how many selfies we took… but definitely more than kilometers.

This is what I love the most about bikepacking in places like Timor.
No crowds, no filters. Just real people, real smiles and real connection.

This is how it feels to pedal from West Timor Indonesia to Timor-Leste 🤍”

200km into Timor… and of course, it rained. 🌧️

First ride ever on this island and it decided to welcome me properly: 8–9 hours soaked, endless climbs, wild roads… and me questioning my life choices somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

But hey… this place hits different.

Every single person out there cheering, smiling, living in the most remote spots like it’s the most normal thing in the world. Pure inspiration.

Slowly getting closer to Timor-Leste, one crazy ride at a time.
Bikepacking solo out here? Yeah… this is next level.
Hard to resupply, adverse weather conditions and lots of fun.

And yeah… note to self: Asia = rain. Always. 🤝🌧️

Timor-Leste, I see you soon! 🇹🇱

Scratching is never an easy decision.

I’m writing this sitting on the left seat of a shared taxi in Flores. A woman next to me is vomiting, the driver is smoking non-stop, and I’m just wondering where the best place to throw up would be.

Not exactly the ending I imagined.

But the truth is… I knew.

I knew it in that moment when I stopped smiling at the thousands of kids cheering me on. I knew it when I couldn’t even smile back at the people who were giving me everything: their energy, their kindness, their love.

That’s when it hit me.

I had to stop. I had to let go of the race.

My body was empty. My legs were gone. And my stomach… didn’t want food anymore.

I ate a pizza during a 10-hour ride, and it took me forever to finish it.
It also took me 10 hours to accept what was obvious: I wasn’t going anywhere in that condition.

I’m not a doctor, but I know my body. And I knew I couldn’t finish the 800 km still ahead.

Only 72 hours had passed since I got sick. I tried everything to come back… but it wasn’t enough.

After I scratched, I spoke with a friend who told me something I won’t forget:

“Listen to yourself. Very few people truly choose themselves over what others might think. But you’re not doing this for anyone else. You’re doing it for you.”

And that stayed with me.

Because sometimes the strongest decision… is knowing when to stop.

Listening to yourself. Respecting yourself.

That’s the real win.

Lintang Flores @lintangflores I’ll be back.
