Today, over 500 cyclists rolled through Bengaluru, not just for the love of the ride, but in solidarity with our Armed Forces. 🇮🇳

🚴‍♂️ Pedaluru 2025, flagged off from Karnataka State Hockey Stadium, was part of the Tiranga Rally—a nationwide wave of cycling pride.

With @fitindiamovementcampaign , @sai_bengaluru, and @bycsindia behind us, we celebrated World Bicycle Day in the most powerful way: as a community moving forward together.

This wasn’t just a ride. It was a statement. That Bengaluru not only salutes the nation’s brave hearts but also pedals for a cleaner and greener future. 🌍🚲

Veritas along with Pedaluru hosted their second session in MCU. It was an engaging field work session with a former senior official from a major government agency working on mobility and public spaces across Bengaluru and Karnataka, who now continues to contribute to urban design and governance through her private practice.

The session introduced students to auditing urban problems in a way that can be effectively understood and acted upon by the government, along with hands-on testing of their field work tool. The feedback gathered from students will help refine the tool for future rounds.

What makes a city truly walkable and accessible?

Through our session with Pedaluru, we explored the importance of the Active Mobility Bill, discussed practical ideas to improve mobility around our college, and learned how citizens can effectively engage with decision-makers to advocate for safer, more inclusive public spaces.

Change doesn’t always begin in Parliament, it often begins with a conversation.

Pedaluru exists to bring that community together: cyclists, walkers, students, commuters, RWAs, colleges, and corporates as one civic voice.

Because infrastructure follows demand. And demand starts with people like you.

By 2029, cycling should be as normal in Bengaluru as taking an auto. We’re building that, one ride, one college, one street at a time.

The Active Mobility Bill could make Karnataka the first state to legally prioritise safe, accessible streets for people who walk, cycle, wheel and use other forms of active mobility.

The bill has been drafted. Now it needs to be tabled in the Karnataka Assembly.
