One of the most common questions we get about the book is if it covers coilover suspension. And while the theory was always there, the 1st edition did not get into coilovers.

To remedy this, before we ordered our last batch of books, we took the time to add an entire chapter dedicated to coilovers, just because we care!

A while back, we posted a photo of a suspension where the bag mounts were misaligned, and as the internet does, people pointed it out immediately. Nobody was rude, and the concern is fair. However, the reality is that misaligned mounts is something you will have to deal with. That is why bags have an allowable amount of distortion they are engineered to handle.

This video shows how even with access to 3-D modeling software, keeping the bag perfectly aligned was impossible in this application.

Arguments could be made for exotic mounting systems that will keep the bag mounts perfectly in-line, but that effort won't necessarily benefit performance or reliability. Those types of systems would be more useful for making your brain happy, which is absolutely fine! Just don't confuse your visual preferences with proper design.
