Our family vacation this year took us to Myrtle Beach. Our campground was a destination all in itself. It is on the beach, but also has a full putt-putt course, arcade, pool, lazy river, 2 water slides and a huge splash park. There are fresh water fishing ponds, a nature center and a ton of activities for everyone (Everett did the shark tooth necklace making). There was even a really good Hula show (inside!). Every night there is a golf cart parade, which was a favorite for all of us, even Coal got dressed up one night! We had a few rainy afternoon for games and naps. We visited the boardwalk and watched the fireworks and hit up a Myrtle Beach Pelicans minor league game, where the bat dog was my favorite. We relaxed, we swam, we laughed, we were together and we had a great time, but we are also glad to be home! #familyvacation #camping #gorving by @pednp07

When @micjustice and I decided that we wanted to try to have kids, I began praying “God, if you bless us with children, may we teach our kids how to pray, how to worship and how to seek You above all things.” Once God decided to give us our boys, I continued to pray this prayer. Some days I could see glimmers of God’s work in their lives and other days I was convinced Satan was winning the battle. We went to church last night because we will miss Sunday. @micjustice captured this photo during worship. God knew I needed another glimpse. We are two imperfect parents working hard every day to point these boys to Jesus. Some days we fail, some days we win. But God is working in it all. Not to be outdone by his brother, Everett picked breakfast burritos for his meal this week! He cooked the sausage and eggs, assembled and rolled the burritos and served it up with a side of pineapple! This summer we are having the kids pick one meal each week that they will cook (with help) from start to finish. Aiden chose chicken burrito bar and churros. He marinated the chicken, made churro bites (from a recipe he found online), cut the veggies, grilled the chicken and set up the assembly line.
