Winter prep 💪 did you know there was a rescue box under the cliffs? Still gets hit by waves & rockfalls, pretty mental out there! In it are supplies & communications for injured surfers at Aileens. This day, we were swapping out radios after 2 years, & it still had 2 bars! Hopefully never needed, but a good backup to have! And of course another fun day on the water! by @pedro2468

Great week teaching the first batch of recruits of class 2 2026. Fun few days on the water training them up to SRT level. To help keep the water ways of the city safe.

Had a great few days wit @redbullire and some of irelands biggest influencers on my home beach last week. Top moment for me was defending my flag title against @mariusmonaghan .... cant keep an old dog down haha. In fairness he whooped me in the first race..... had to represent on the second..... till next time.

Great few days up in sligo/strandhill and donegal/mullaghmore with @aoife_conroy_ and the kids. Our first family trip in the van and nobody killed anyone ...... yewww /result
Was in sligo to giving a talk on drowning and board rescue techniques for sligo county council and even manged to win myslef a board paddle trophy. The doctor murphy cup. Amzing part of the county to visit and stay. Thanks to all the locals . Till next time by @pedro2468

RIP CURRENTS 🌊

Something we’ve wanted to chat about for a while, a common feature of any surf beach all over Ireland & the world! We believe that with a little more understanding & awareness we can make the beaches much safer this summer!

As always, make the effort to swim at lifeguards beaches, take their advice & always swim between the red & yellow flags!

Special thanks to local surfer & rescue legend @pedro2468 for putting on the wetsuit & jumping into the rip!

Crazy day down the coast. Was in the flow state of rescue for the few days we were down there. @kai_lenny getting sucked into the right of doom aint a good thing. Was a close one but managed to get in and out in time. All the training and practice for situations just like this is what its all about . Cheers @bercahill for always haven my back out there just incase my luck runs out haha.
