A few people asked what movie this scene was from. The answer? There is no movie. At least not yet.

I’ve always loved war films. Saving Private Ryan, All Quiet on the Western Front, 1917 and Band of Brothers have stayed with me for years. Not just because of their scale, but because of the way they use cinematography, sound, atmosphere and human emotion to tell extraordinary stories.

So I wanted to see how far I could take a cinematic experiment using generative AI.

I started by developing the concept and planning the shots with ChatGPT. Then I created my digital actor reference using Higgsfield Soul and used Seedream 4.5 to place my likeness into the different scenes.

From there, I brought the frames to life using Seedance, generated individual clips and assembled them into a sequence.

For the final pass, I used the compiled video as a reference to refine the color, atmosphere and overall visual consistency, while keeping my Soul 2.0 actor recognizable throughout. Then I recorded my own performance as a reference and uploaded it to my Higgsfield account.

And the result genuinely surprised me.

What I find most exciting isn’t simply how realistic these tools are becoming. It’s how much more accessible cinematic experimentation is becoming for storytellers who have ideas but don’t necessarily have a Hollywood production budget.

There was still a lot of trial, error, selection and creative decision-making involved. The technology didn’t decide what story I wanted to tell.

It helped me explore how to tell it.

I made a short commercial for my dream car. There’s just one problem. I don’t own it. Yet…🏁

I’ve always dreamed of owning a Porsche 928 S. And not just any 928. I have a very specific vision of how I’d customize it.

The wheels, the lights, the interior, the details. Everything.

So I thought, why wait until I actually own one to see what it could look like?

Using generative AI, Higgsfield, and a little imagination, I designed my dream build, placed myself beside it, and brought the whole thing to life with cinematic camera movements.

No physical car. No studio. No camera crew.

Just a vision of something I’d love to make real someday.

And that’s what I find so exciting about these tools for filmmaking. We can now visualize ideas, explore designs, and tell stories that would have been incredibly difficult or expensive to produce just a few years ago.

At Alcan Media, this is exactly the kind of creative freedom we’re exploring, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.

Now I just need to find the actual Porsche. 😄- But I am saving for it!

None of this was filmed on a battlefield…

No physical sets. No army of extras. No massive Hollywood production budget.

Just an idea, a story, and the creative possibilities of AI.

I’ve always loved cinema and the power it has to transport us into another time, another place, another life.

For this experiment, I wanted to see how far I could push cinematic realism using generative AI. Inspired by the visual language of classic war films, I recreated an Eastern Front-style battlefield and placed myself inside the story.

The result still surprises me.

But here’s what excites me most: AI isn’t the story. It’s another tool that allows us to tell it.

The creative decisions, the emotions, the cinematography, the pacing, the narrative. Those still matter. More than ever.
