Happy Gotcha Day to my sweet boy 🤍

You found me unexpectedly. I wasn’t ready, but we figured it out together. Since then, life has been a series of adventures, big and small. You brought color to my life again. Sifting through my Tik Tok drafts and found this gem. I barely posted anything in 2024, which I deeply regret because I created so many amazing memories with incredible people. This happened to be my east coast roadtrip I took with the pup 🐶 It was my first vacation since the pandemic started 😳 For those who don’t know, my life (and body) has never been the same since COVID, so being able to do this was a HUGE step 🙌🏽 I remember sitting on a beautiful beach in SC, crying happy tears, because I did it. I took a chance on myself, and I made it happen.

In 2024, I stopped waiting. You ever have something you’ve dreamed about doing? Something you know you’d regret if you never at least tried? In 2025 I agreed to take more chances and bet on myself. We’ll see what happens, but I’ll never know until I try 💛 by @peedemarie

September,

My most transformative month. A month I saw the seeds amidst my sorrows begin to blossom. A light shone after making a home in darkness, after years and seasons in depression. I’m starting to watch blessings occur in my life, like a river just flowing. There’s a tiny voice in my head that keeps trying to convince me I don’t deserve them, that I’m unworthy, but I’ve been healing and preparing for this moment for years. Yearss.

The work is not done. The pain is not over. But perhaps, even just for a moment, I take the time to smile and be so grateful for what God has done in my life.
