I’ve called this spread « feeling weird *af* and turning my book into headlines of it » 🤘🏼🦇👽

and it is probably my favorite I have ever made! I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with calligraphy and doing a more « flowy » type of spread, less structured.

Notes from this journaler to fellow book lovers:
- Pilot iroshizuku syun-gyo in my Stub 1.1mm nib slaps!
- gothic lettering really clears ones’ head!
- Autumn is the best season to journal!

I wrote about:
🕯️feeding the crows of my neighborhood and being in awe seeing them taking raw peanut by raw peanut to a hiding place.
🕯️falling asleep on the couch and having 1min to enjoy my hobbies before falling in the depths of unconciouness :’)
🕯️being stood up at early morning meetings
🕯️treating myself to a bookstore stroll after said office day!
🕯️alien emoji being me and my best friend’s emotional support clue.

A more formal introduction to my 2027 journal ecosystem 👀⭐️🖤

1- Well, after many a doubt recently about dated planners, I am still quite ready to continue my creative journey in my Hobonichi Cousin A5. However, in 2027, I want to be okay with empty pages, or entries with very few scribbles and more photos or collages. As much as I enjoy this book, some days are simply impossible to follow through in here and it should not be an issue!

2- My beloved Filofax in Personal size!
This helps me remember appointments, to-dos and gives me an immensely appreciated insight into my health with the trackers inserts! I don’t use stickers in here! But I sure like to change the ephemera season to season, I added postcards I received as freebies from lovely boutiques and it helps me reach out for it consistently!

3- Dipping my toes into drawing has made me long for a proper place for it! A place to venture into watercolors and raw sketches instead of scrolling at night!

4- My Stalogy 365 A5 in the Aurora colorway! As soon as I saw this book I knew I needed to get my hands on it! And what better way to show it some love than to use it as a record of my nerdy hyperfixations?? I have been farming my Tudors research these past months and yet, nothing has fully stuck with me because I did not keep a proper record of it! This is an undated « no pressure » book, but one I really look forward to add scribbles to!

AN UPDATE ON MY RINGS… & YOUR SIGN TO MOVE IN RINGS? 🤓⭐️

[ & my first voice over wth! 👀]

After a rather tumultuous start, I am now a true rings user!! I had no idea rings would be so fun and bring me so much joy!!!

There is something truly special in making a cherished journal your own and adding to it as you go! 🥺

I know we still have a long way to go and that my use of it will probably change over time, but so far I am over the moon and it helps me get stuff done!

Also, English is not my mother tongue so bear with your French girl 🤭🙈

A closer look at my October entries ☁️🍂🐇

September has gone by incredibly quickly and now cosy season is finally in full swing!!

For October, I fancied a change and decided to challenge myself to write my entries in cursive [almost] exclusively *this takes ages and I fall asleep way too quickly at night*

I am quite satisfied with the result so far!
I am using a Stub nib for this and it has been surprisingly satisfying to give this a try! 🪶

My pen combo this month is:
@twsbi Diamond in a Stub 1.1mm
@benupen Venus’ hair in a medium nib!

Also, can you tell what my obsession is lately? 🤓😅🐦‍⬛

This October, the spotlight is directed at the misunderstood, so ofc, Ravens have their moments to shine! ⭐️

Oh, and your Artistic Director Missie Moo has been putting in the extra hours, working from the couch on my journal entries!🕯️

HAPPY OCTOBER TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE 🖤🎃🐦‍⬛

Autumn has finally hit, despite the alternance of beloved gloomy days and abnormally hot ones, the leaves offer a magnificent spectacle and hopefully the air will become crisp soon 🍂

What better occasion to celebrate my favorite season than dedicate my october cover page to my favorite bird?

I have been obsessed with corvids the past few months and wanted to be bold enough to draw one for october! As a totally unexperimented person with colored pencils (or any other drawing medium to be fair…), this was quite the challenge, but I love how it turned out!

MEET MY COMMONPLACE BOOK 🧚🏼‍♂️✨

After months of procrastination due to a severe case of perfectionism induced freeze, I am elated to have finally set up my commonplace book!! 🐦‍⬛⭐️📓🍂

My hope for this book is to be the home of my nerdy hyperfixations, which currently mainly consist of historical research, specifically of the Tudors era (surprise surprise 😅).

However, I know it will grow with me, as do all of our well-used books!

Who knew a night deco session would bring me so much joy? 🕯️

I have spent months saving my favorite stickers for the occasion and I really love the result! I will add to the front cover over time though! My @stalogy_official Aurora grid notebook is so special to me, I am happy to finally let it shine!

Hello friends 👋🏻

MY 27’ BOOK IS HERE!! ⭐️

After many a thoughts about an all-year book or Avec for 2027… I AM STAYING in an all-year!!

I simply could not resist the vanilla cover and the chunk daily memories create in an all-year!! 👀

Also, I had to put my 27’ book in its glorious @beautifulpeople_officialsite cover, I already talked about the texture. BUT THE SOUND MELTS MY BRAIN 🧠 [yes I know I am crazy to be this excited over PVC 😂].

Comparing my two books, I thought about how incredibly satisfying and special daily journaling is to me. We see our books everyday, but it takes comparing them with an unused one to realize how much our books grow with us all year 🥹

I have already finished a full year book, but it was an A6, and seeing my A5 grow like that just gives me all the feels!

No matter how neat and cool a new book is to look at, the sight of a well-loved one is unmatched to me 🤭

I declare the weird season between wanting to start my 27’ book and missing my current one in advance… OPEN 🪄

Let’s soak up the last three months of the year in our 26 books… before it all starts again ⭐️

I am really curious about your 2027 systems!!

A LITTLE THROWBACK ⏮️⭐️

To last week-end in Brussels for @jacobcollier « The light for days » tour, a night that changed my life! I was incredibly fortunate to meet Jacob before the show and his performance was otherwordly. Jacob masterfully uses the audience as a choir and the feeling I got, witnessing his genius and being a tiny part of it was indescribable 🤎

A beautiful feeling that lingered all week ☁️

It was also my first time in Brussels despite living awfully close 🤭 and I simply had to venture to the cutest stationery shop there @lundi_studio 👋🏻. The boutique was so pretty and they stocked some of my favorite brands (got to see some @hobonichi_global 👀), needless to say I came back with some goodies!

We also had the best of times eating at fabulous places (I love me a good brunch) and it made this incredible weekend even more magical.

Back at my desk, I am trying to figure out how to best use my @officialfilofax and new routines 🧠

I am also doing more collages and honestly, have a little less energy to write extensively.

I hope September is treating you well 🩶

Some details of my latest journal entries 🍂🍎⭐️

A lot of backfilling to do & close to zero energy to function has gotten me confused about my 2027 system.

I love my A5 Cousin but it takes a lot of time and there are days where I just need absolute quiet from the chaos of daily life.

So recently in my book…there is less writing, more collages, labels, calligraphy… thoughts about simpler routines, time management & ultimately, I am not mad at how my pages turned out!

Hello, September 🍂🌅🍎

I was away the first week of September, but as soon as I came home, I sat at my desk to deco my monthly cover page & boy was I excited for September!

Probably my favorite time of year ; technically still Summer but also the beginning of Autumn, which I have always adored 🧶🥧🍎

A compilation of everything I love: beautiful sunny days, with a slight chill! I tried to capture this in-between and I love how it turned out!

This month, my desk has a new companion, my beloved @officialfilofax which has grown on me so much!

I am still adjusting because I now have completely separate books for planning/creative purposes!

Curious as to how you guys with A5 Hobonichis use the weeklies (I used to plan in here!), I’d love some inspo from you friends 🫶🏼
