Great weekend out at Ellis creek for State champs help by @peel_downhill. Prime conditions for race day but unfortunately my race run didnt go as planned as I crashed in one of the first corners but picked it back up, got to the bottom still finishing in 5th. My @norcobicycles.au Torrent DH eating up every hit all weekend and it hasn’t missed a beat. Stoked for @travis_smith232 for getting the win. Final points are live. The 2026 WA State Series is officially wrapped up. This year saw 251 riders contest the series, making it the largest overall field we've had in years. Across six rounds, riders battled for every point from Denmark to Devils Pass, with several categories coming down to incredibly tight margins in the final standings. It was also our strongest year of female participation, with women and girls represented across the pathway from U13 through to Elite. As part of the series points system, each rider's worst round has been dropped, rewarding consistency across the season while allowing for the occasional mechanical, crash, illness or missed race. A huge thank you to all the riders, volunteers, clubs, officials, sponsors and supporters who continue to make downhill racing in WA what it is. Congratulations to all our 2026 series winners, podium finishers and everyone who committed to a full season of racing. And we're not done yet. We've got some huge news coming for 2027. If the growth and momentum of this season are anything to go by, next year is shaping up to be something special. Entries close for WADH State Champs at Ellis Creek this Thursday. Get those entries in! Cheers PDMBC Crew @hillside_cycles @mo_bike_services @nvrlost_mtb @elkmtb @albanymtb @mtbdenmarkwa by @peel_downhill
