After a long time away from the drawing board I finally got back to it. I was inspired by the art being done by the artists at NYCC. So I did a drawing of @blake_northcott writer/author who is attending the show. She is very photogenic and lovely so I have her flashing a badge with her credentials on it. Also sporting a Wolverine shirt from one of her recent posts. Once again showing all steps from pencils to inks to digital coloring on the iPhone app with my finger. #nycc #blakenorthcott #comicart #comicwriter #indieartist by @peemaccman

In 2020, Kenneth Gallant came up with an idea for some new superhero characters. Ken and I talked many times about this. I mentioned a character idea I had and he went with it (The Unknowner).

Due to other commitments Ken never finished his final plans for these characters. Sad thing is I wish I had brought up this idea again before he passed away.

All of us who helped Ken in this enjoyed the creative process.

RIP Kenneth Gallant.

Our comics are a fun read. We have been creating comics for so many years and love it.

Had the urge to do a western style drawing using my favorite muse as the main character as a possible future story idea. À la Back to the Future three. Or just the urge to do something with a woman holding a weapon. Who doesn’t like the old west. #oldwestartwork #sheriff #comicbookart #indieart #cecerose by @peemaccman

Saw the preview for the Bill Sienkiewicz documentary: That Polish guy. I love the way he designed Elektra and his illustrative painterly style. Also the loose yet elegant way he draws. I’ve inserted my muse in place as Elektra as I think she looks like her a lot. #billsienkiewicz #elektra #pencildrawing #comicbookart by @peemaccman

Did a drawing in memory of our friend and creative force Ken Gallant who inspired the creation of Walrus Boy.

Was recently inspired by @emmakubert who did an amazing alternate cover for Absolute Catwoman. I thought I would try one as well. Didn’t match the costume as much. Added my own outfit. Kept the helmet. Added the motorcycle from the movie. Still used my iPhone to colour it. I should be using Clip Studio or something. Maybe next time.

Haven’t posted in a while. Inspired by a story from Dead Souls written by our own Ken Gallant about Marvelous Jones. A would be knight in armor. Reimagined as a woman warrior. I have her leaping in action tossing her helmet aside revealing her face. #tictoctom #tictoctomcomics #marvelousjones by @peemaccman

Posting yet another Batman Catwoman image using my muse in the title role just for practice of the female form. Coloured yet again with the iPhone photo edit app. A little messy and unclear but that’s because I’m using my finger to color it. #batman #catwoman #art #comics #indieartist by @peemaccman
