This puppet was a real labor of love. Huge thanks to my partner for working just as tirelessly as me to pull this thing off. The late nights and long days well payed off. I think together we put in about 100 hours on this thing.

It may not seem like it, but this was one of my most intense builds to date. I had been dreaming of a look with programmed LED’s so I jumped at the chance to collaborate with my dear friend @crime_admirer for this huge project. The full build was easily several hundreds of hours, between hand building the armour, programming, and hand soldering hundreds of individual wires and LED strips. I am forever grateful to beth and my partner for their sleepless nights with me in an effort to bring this beast to life. I can’t fucking believe we pulled it off.

The look itself I think tells a very straight forward story about the way I feel like a man made robot in this strange, crushing world. About my desire to be strong and fierce and indestructible as a transsexual man. About how many thousands of hours I’ve put into constructing my own body. The lights are my way of screaming the message that there is glamour in masculinity. You may not know that that’s what you’re looking at, but you certainly can’t look away.

My name is Radcliffe and my two-year-old orange tabby cat named Peach has recently been suffering from a blocked urinary tract, which is an extremely fatal condition if not treated urgently. Despite his multiple hospital stays at various vets for catheterization, he blocked enough times for the vets to officially recommend the standard of care at this time, which is Perineal Urethrostomy surgery (comically named PU surgery). Otherwise, I would have to put him down. Peach came to me unexpectedly at a time where my life was falling apart around me. He is a gentle, affectionate, bubbly little boy who loves everyone he meets. He has comforted me as my son in my darkest times and it is no question I will do the same for him.

As you can imagine, this process has been incredibly stressful and of course expensive. Two weeks ago Peach was a perfectly healthy and happy young cat, and now he has been poked and prodded and cathetered and everything else under the sun to figure out what is wrong with him. Though I was financially able to handle the first hospital stays, the surgery itself is a totally unexpected cost that I cannot handle on my own. And though I was able to secure a payment plan for a portion of the cost, it is not nearly enough to cover the roughly $10,000 in expenses since this issue started out of the blue just under two weeks ago.

As many of you know, I currently make a living as a server at a restaurant and supplement my income with performance gigs and selling handmade clothing. Having such an unexpected cost has upended my financial stability that i have worked tirelessly for, and as much as it pains me to ask, I am out of financial options besides calling on my friends, family and community to help me out and give Peach the care he needs. All of the money donated will go directly towards Peach’s consultation, surgery bills and overnight hospital stay. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this link.
