Hey peeps…
We’re The Peeples-Ashley, Rob, and our three daughters —and we’ve officially been traveling full-time in an RV for 4.5 years now! 39 states later and still going strong. 💪🏻

We’re originally from Ohio, but after a two-month RV trip back in 2020, we realized we didn’t miss a thing about “normal” life. So in March 2021, we sold 90% of what we owned, and hit the road. It felt crazy at the time… but it’s still one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

We share the good, the messy, and everything in between—from RV tips and travel hacks to epic destinations and the real-life behind RV living with kids.

WE GOT OUR HOME BACK. 🙌🏼

If this month taught us anything, it’s that RV life will teach you how to pivot. Plans change, repairs happen, travel gets rerouted — and sometimes the best thing you can do is stay flexible and keep moving forward.

We’re just thankful to be back in our own RV and headed to Lake Tahoe. 🤍

We bought a house! and No, we’re not getting off the road. ⬇️

We bought a house in Florida — sight unseen — but not because we’re done traveling.

After 5.5 years of full-time RV life, we’ve realized that having a place to land for part of the year might actually help us stay on the road longer.

A place to slow down in the winter.
A backup plan when RV life throws us a curveball.
A home base near people we love.
And eventually, an investment property we can share when we’re traveling.

For us, this isn’t choosing a house instead of RV life.

It’s choosing a version of RV life that feels more sustainable for the long haul.

And trust me… there are still a LOT of miles ahead. (Almost 3,000 miles to get to it!) 😂

Sometimes RV life teaches you how to pivot and be flexible .. and roll with it (or not)🤣👏….OR how to reroute your entire life in 24 hours. 😂

Our RV was still waiting on the repair we actually needed, but life wasn’t exactly pausing..

Everything happens for a reason?! The canceled concert turned into Abby getting to experience it with both of her sisters. 🤍 thank you to my brother @man.cave.collection

This lifestyle is AMAZING, but will teach you flexibility whether you want the lesson or not.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this… we were making one very BIG decision behind the scenes. 👀

If you lived in your RV full-time and suddenly couldn’t live in it for weeks… what would your backup plan be?

This season has reminded us that full-time RV life is amazing, but it also requires flexibility, patience, and honestly… a Plan B.

We’re incredibly thankful for the people who stepped in and helped us keep life moving while we waited for answers.

And maybe the biggest lesson of all?

Sometimes the hard parts don’t make you want to quit the lifestyle — they just make you want to build a more sustainable version of it.

One of the biggest realities of RV ownership? Warranty work can take time.

Even with a great dealer, repairs often depend on manufacturer approval, parts availability, and the back-and-forth that happens behind the scenes.

In our case, Brinkley has since told us changes were made within customer care, and we’re thankful for that.

We were also incredibly grateful for @rvfixofficial + the concierge support we have through Bish’s RV (what you get when you purchase a Brinkley through them 🤯🙌🏻🎉!) because having someone helping advocate, coordinate, and keep things moving made a huge difference. We honestly may have been displaced even longer without that support.

The takeaway? There is no perfect RV, and repairs are part of ownership. Who you buy from — and what support comes with it — matters more than people realize.

This is the part of full-time RV life you don’t always see.

We LOVE living in our RV and traveling full-time with our family — but RV repairs hit a little differently when the RV isn’t just your camper… it’s your home.

What started as a slide issue turned into a us being displaced for a month.

We kept traveling, working, homeschooling and showing up online while behind the scenes we were trying to figure out what was actually wrong with our RV slide— and how long we might be without it.

And after more than 5 years of full-time RV living, this whole experience taught us some things we wish every RVer knew before a major repair.

Part 1 is where it all started. And trust me… it gets crazier.

If you RV full-time, I want to know: have you ever had a repair leave you without your RV? What did you do?

And send this to an RV friend who thinks their backup plan is, “ehhh… we’ll figure it out.” 😂

When is the last time you changed your truck brakes? 🤔

After 5 1/2 years of full-time RV travel, we were overdue!😳😳😳
