The Antonov AN-124 + Motörhead, equals perfection! 🔥🤩
Let me tell you a bit more about this giant beast of an aircraft!
The Giant from Kyiv, took off from Batajnica Air Base(BJY-LYBT), and around 16:00pm on November the 1st, the beast landed here in Sofia(SOF-LBSF).
And if anyone’s interested, here’s some interesting facts about it..
One of the largest cargo aircraft ever built, the Antonov An-124 is a true marvel of Soviet engineering. Designed in the 1980s by the Antonov Design Bureau, this beast can carry up to 150 tonnes of cargo, including trains, satellites, and even other aircraft!
With its four powerful D-18T engines, 24 wheels, and a nose that lifts open for “roll-on” loading, the An-124 remains one of the most capable heavy lifters in the skies, even 40 years after its first flight.
The An-124’s big brother, the legendary Antonov An-225 “Mriya” (meaning “Dream”), was an even larger version built to transport the Soviet space shuttle Buran. The An-225 held multiple world records — the world’s heaviest aircraft, largest wingspan of any operational plane, and the highest payload ever carried by air.
Sadly, the An-225 was destroyed during the Battle of Hostomel in 2022 when Russian forces attacked Antonov Airport near Kyiv. Yet, the “Mriya” lives on as a symbol of Ukrainian resilience, innovation, and hope.
Today, the An-124 continues to serve with Antonov Airlines and a handful of operators around the world, a proud reminder of what human engineering can achieve when we dare to dream big.

My dream shot! 🍁🍂🌅🌇
I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about autumn, sunsets and “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd! 🤩
For all of the crazy Pink Floyd fans, I made sure to put the sound to 90 seconds, so if anyone wants to take a bit of their time, to bless their ears with one of greatest guitar solos, feel free! 😁
Enough with that.. we had a special guest coming in from Iceland Reykjavik, and it was this beautiful Viva Aerobus!

The Saab 2000 has always been one of my most wanted aircraft to photograph. Rare, beautiful, and instantly recognizable, it’s an aircraft that every time I saw in someone else’s photos, I hoped one day I’d see through my own viewfinder. 🙌🏼
And what can I say Seeing this beauty parked in front of me and getting the shot I’ve imagined for so long is a feeling that’s hard to describe. Here’s to chasing more dreams, one registration at a time! 📸✈️❤️

Royal elegance on the move! 😌✈️
After sitting so long at Lufthansa Technik, for maintenance issues this Royal Jordanian Airbus A320-271N is rolling out of Sofia, bound for Amman 🇯🇴.
Wrote a lil something about my childhood band! :)👇🏼

“Do You Believe in Shame?” is in my opinion one of Duran Duran’s greatest songs ever. Simon’s Voice in the whole album( Big Thing )is just at it’s absolutely peak.. “Palomino” is another example!
And the whole Big Thing album has that feeling to it.
It’s not as mainstream, not many people know of it, and that making it a literal hidden gem! 🎵
By the time Big Thing came out in 1988, Duran Duran weren’t exactly in their peak “superstar pop band” phase anymore. A few years earlier, they’d split into side projects like Arcadia and The Power Station, and by this point the lineup had changed, most notably with guitarist Andy Taylor gone. So the band was basically rebuilding itself a bit.
And as all of true Duran Duran fans know, Duran Duran have never really been a band that stays in one lane, and that’s a big reason their career has been so up and down over the years.
From the start, they mixed things that didn’t always obviously go together: new wave, funk, electronic sounds, pop hooks, and that mindset never really changed. Even when they were at their commercial peak in the early ’80s, they were still experimenting with production, visuals, and different styles instead of just repeating what worked.
The thing is, that kind of approach doesn’t always guarantee success. Every time they shifted their sound, like on Big Thing or later records, they risked losing part of their audience. That naturally led to albums that didn’t hit as hard commercially.
As for “Do You Believe in Shame”, it’s actually one the more personal songs they’ve done. It was written as a tribute to one of Simon Le Bon’s best friends in the whole world( like he says in an interview ), who passed away, David Miles 🕊️.

ALMOST 1 Year, Since I Started My Photography Journey! 🥹
This beautiful air Baltic with its special livery, was laying around in my Canon’s SD card, so I’m finally able to post it!
I love this livery so much! 🇪🇪💙🖤🤍

A little about Kino.. (Since I’m a HUGE fan of them :D)
Kino (Кино) was a Soviet rock band formed in Leningrad in 1981 and became one of the defining bands of the 80s. Their music, influenced by post-punk and new wave, stood out for its simplicity and sincerity.
At the heart of Kino was Viktor Tsoi (Виктор Цой): singer, songwriter, guitarist, and poet. Viktor wasn’t just a musician, he was a cultural icon. 🙌🏼 His calm voice and thoughtful lyrics connected deeply with young people across the USSR.
Tragically, Viktor Tsoi died in 1990 at just 28 years old in a head-on car crash near Tukums, Latvia. Officially, it was ruled that he fell asleep on the wheel. His death shocked the Soviet Union, murals appeared overnight, fans mourned in the streets, and the phrase “Цой жив” (“Tsoi lives”) became immortal. To this day, it’s written on walls across Eastern Europe and beyond. 🎵❤️‍🩹

First post for 2026! 🙂✈️
Wizz’s livery is a favourite of mine, I’m glad to finally post these photos, because I was going back and forth about the quality of the shots, but at the end of the day I realised that all that matters is if I’m happy with them, and I would say I am! :)🩷💜
Sunset spotting is therapy for me, that golden light and these metal birds, just keep my mind at peace! 🌅✈️

“The Queen” ascending gracefully over Sofia and with Baker Street playing in the background, not only that iconic sax riff, but also one of the most beautiful guitar solos for me, and it all just crowns the moment! 👌🏼✈️🎵

About Rafferty: One of Scotland’s greatest musicians and songwriters, Gerry Rafferty left a legacy built on timeless melodies, poetic storytelling, and a voice that carried both warmth and melancholy. Among all his work, “Baker Street” stands as his most iconic creation, a song that became a cultural landmark the moment it was released in 1978. And my personal favourite by him “Get It Right Next Time”! 🙌🏼
At the heart of Baker Street is its unforgettable saxophone solo, performed by session saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft.
That soaring riff is one of the most recognizable in music history, a piece of sound that somehow captures both the restlessness and hope woven into the song’s lyrics. It didn’t just complement Baker Street.. it defined a musical era!
But of course we can’t forget as the track moves toward its close, another legendary moment arrives: the guitar solo of Hugh Burns.. just music at its peak if you ask me! 🎵🤩

This is one of those shots that makes all the waiting, the early mornings, and the missed attempts of catching an aircraft feel worth it. Seeing this aircraft overhead hit me harder than I expected, because it’s been a dream of mine to meet it. And what better way to meet the KC-135 than, for it to fly over your head! 🤩
I’m soo proud of this shot, and how much progress I’ve made since I started photography! 📷✈️❤️‍🩹
And to top it off, I chose one of my all time favourite songs! :)
