Belated footage of our shows last month! 🌝

Creating this live show full of unreleased tracks, which are quite different from the club stuff I usually play as a DJ, was such a great learning experience.

Although it was very stressful and insecurity inducing at times, I feel very blessed to have been able to do this with my good friend @r3sun 🐂

Seeing how it all worked out in both a room full of mostly strangers @eyeswideshut.leiden and to a tent packed with friends and family the next day at @vvf_valkenswaard made me very proud!🥹

[REV011] “Antelope In Exile” by @pelgrim__ is OUT NOW 💿

“Part Nulle” takes a more introspective direction. Floating chords and a recurring vocal-like synth motif gradually unfold into an immersive soundscape inspired by the vast emptiness of outer space and the undefined void from which ideas can emerge.

[REV011] “Antelope In Exile” by @pelgrim__ is OUT NOW 💿

Dutch producer Pelgrim makes his debut on Reveries with three tracks written during a period spent living on a remote farm in the Belgian countryside.

The EP unfolds across three cuts centred around the 140 BPM mark, where Pelgrim develops his approach to sonic storytelling by balancing bright melodic elements with deep, gripping low-end pressure.

The title track Antelope In Exile is a dub-inspired four-to-the-floor stepper driven by an infectious bass line that carries the track from start to finish. Delicate guitar plucks, spacious delays, and atmospheric synth textures add depth and movement, creating a hypnotic groove that blends dub aesthetics with dancefloor momentum.

Bad news for everyone who can't take any more heat 🥵 because tomorrow June 25th my very first EP 'Antelope In Exile' will see the light of day and will be out on all platforms via @reveries_rome

My ADD brain still can't quite grasp it managed to get finished and properly mixed works out into the world. 🥹

Also so happy with this beautiful and subtle artwork by @notsoclemente 🦌

Speaking of mixing, this EP would not have been there without the help of my good friend @tijndriessen rescuing me with the mixdown 🧡

I wrote most of these tracks about two years ago in this studio when living on a farm in Belgium 🇧🇪

Right before going full Pelgrim mode and I left for a long trip in a campervan with my love, hoping to write an album while on the road 🚐

While this plan turned out to be somewhat ambitious, I did write some music while traveling. But a part I produced on the road that ended up on the EP was this breakdown for the title track, played here by @flvx______xx last weekend over @bass_unity soundsystem in Milano 😍🫠

This part I made a year ago from this makeshift studio I set up during a workaway near Rome.

Rome is also where I met up with Reveries don Luca aka @_prest , such a skillful DJ and great producer and overall extremely friendly guy. We had a studio session and played an 8.5h marathon B2B at @magickbar . He also remixed Antelope in Exile and delivered one of the stand out tracks of the EP imo!🔥

The butterfly effect towards this release had already taken off back in 2022 🦋, when I first connected with Luca after playing a track of him at @rrfm.fm (proof that radio shows will pay off eventually)

Also, the synchronicity of me, Pelgrim making a pilgrimage to Rome during the holy pilgrim year of 2025 and finding a home for my music there is just very satisfying 😁🌠

Here is footage of me recording Part Nulle on my Nord Stage 3, which I used for sound design of almost all melodic elements on the EP 🎹

And this is the same track played live last October at @eyeswideshut.leiden with @r3sun on the shredder 🎸
