A lawyer born in Afghanistan, trying to return back to his roots. A lawyer who believes he can bring justice for Zeba.⁣ ⁣ It's the story of the strong  Gulnaz . Gulnaz who was once resented by her daughter. Gulnaz who could never figure out the reasons for her husband's estrange..⁣ ⁣ A House without windows  a beautiful book  Nadia Hashimi that takes you to the land of Afghanistan, making you want to read more and more. ⁣ ⁣ Some other books that I read by the author are⁣ ⁣ When the moon is low⁣ ⁣ The pearl that broke it's shell⁣ ⁣ &⁣ ⁣ One half from the east⁣ ⁣ And all of them are equally beautiful. LIFE IN QUARANTINE⁣ ⁣ PART 2⁣ ⁣ CTD... But life in quarantine is also BEAUTIFUL.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because after a long time I enjoyed the dawn and the sound of birds as I did not sleep all night and it was already time to wake up.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because after 10 days of worrying, I got a call from the patient I last operated on, repeatedly thanking me that I relieved him of his pain the other day and now needs a consult for someone else.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because even though there is dilemma of what is going to happen after this is over, there is also a belief in my skills and the confidence in my ability to start from scratch.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because while people were spitting hatred, I get a random text from a friend who I have never met in person, saying that she believes in me and will always be there.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because just 15 minutes ago my son came running towards me, hugged me tight and said that I was the best Mom in this whole world.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because thanks to the technology I can see my mom and dad over a video call everyday.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Beautiful, because just as I am typing this, I hear my mother in law calling, for a hot cup of ginger tea and some new juicy gossip that we are gonna discuss over some onion pakoras because it's raining outside.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Quarantine or not, it's Life. LIFE IN QUARANTINE PART 1 Life in Quarantine for me is watching Grey's Anatomy in the middle of the night and wondering what it would be like if I was in the place of my favourite character, changing the shape of medicine, living the dream, the complexities and yet always finding love to come back to in the end. Life in quarantine is wondering, what if I am again unable to wake up on time and reach the kitchen in the morning, as I have been binge watching all night and have loads of chores pending from yesterday, and will again have to sweat double my capacity and still be reminded that I am not good enough the entire day, because my chapati’s are still not round and my wash basin still full, because I hate washing the utensils and have hated doing it all my life, right from when I was a little girl and my dad used to tease me that one day you will have to do it all. Life in quarantine is living in a constant fear of what if I turn out to be Covid positive in spite of all the precautions I had taken, because the last patient I treated, has a distant relative taken to the hospital because of his travel history.? And then my mind taking me to how will I leave my son alone? and How do I keep him distant ?  How do i refuse when he is insistent of hugging me and the only thing I want to do right now is tightly hug him back, but I can't because of the absurd and baseless fear of a possibility of being Covid Positive ? Life in quarantine is a constant dilemma of what is going to happen next after all this is over. And will it ever be completely over? Life in quarantine is endless hours on my mobile, scrolling my screen through the pages of social media, watching people spit hatred even in the time of a pandemic,  when the poor are devoid of food and I still donot have the courage to speak up. Life in quarantine is also a constant fear of missing out on the amazing things people are achieving while I sit and sulk on how I could have done so much better in life.  But life in quarantine is also BEAUTIFUL. If you are feeling anxious right now, it's okay.⁣ If you feel you are missing out on things , it's okay .⁣ If the world moves at a pace that is too fast for you to cope, it's ok.⁣ You tried to explain, but they just wouldn't understand, Don't worry it's ok. ⁣ You tried hard, harder than you thought you could and the things just aren't working out with you, it's okay.⁣ If the days are gloomy and the nights too dark , it's okay. ⁣ If every morning you wake up faking a smile and assume the world would be all sunshine when again it is not, It's okay. ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ I don't say the things will change in a flash and it will be all sunshine . This book is an escape, this book is fantasy, this book is a reverie, a dream too mystical to be true , an opus brilliantly put to words that weave magic so profound and pleasing that you wish it never ends.... A brilliant book by Neil Gaiman P.S I won't share the plot .
