Hello!! This summer has been the busiest ever and I’ve fallen behind on here! Juggling seasonal growing work with my creative practise is a hard one to balance at this time of year, when everything is ready to harvest on the farm, and there’s just not enough time in a day (but one inspires the other and I wouldn’t have it any other way) !!!

I’ve had this ‘Midsummer Feast’ image in my head for a while & it’s so lovely to see it in riso print form - celebrating the abundance of this time of year, and the joy of sharing home grown, delicious food with family and friends.

I hope you can share it with someone who loves growing & eating tomatoes as much as I do 👹 It’s printed as an addition of 40 to try & keep it affordable - it’s £15 on my shop - you can find the link in my bio 🍅

We are very excited to invite you to Goonown’s Midsummer Feast!! 🌞

Come and enjoy a three course vegan feast with us at the farm on Sunday 19th July, from 1pm-3pm, celebrating the abundance of organic produce that we grow here at Goonown!

Join us at the table to eat, drink, and listen to birdsong, together with the local community.

Tickets are available to buy from the link in our bio, which include 3 courses and a non-alcoholic beverage. We will have several gluten free options available (please message in advance) and will have a bar set up on site for those wishing to enjoy a cider or two - bring cash or card. We hope to see you there!!

Been a whirlwind landing back in Cornwall, with a new growing job and a house move! 🫛 Excited to find new routines, and very happy that this early morning drive for a dawny is a lot shorter now we are back living on the north coast yipeeee!

My first Mokuhanga woodblock print from my residency at @taller.radal 🍁 it’s such a sensitive and subtle printing process and wowee there is so much to learn!

I loved working with Lenga wood for this print (a native Argentinian hard wood) carving the design in response to the grain and working with different ratios of gouache, nori and water for different transparencies.

This print is inspired by walking over Paso Del Viento (windy passage) and our first views of the southern Patagonian ice fields, which was just the most breathtaking hike ever!! taken in Bariloche by @pen.dered

Reflecting on a very inspiring first week of our residency at @taller.radal learning about the Mokuhanga woodblock printing process, practising carving and printing, and beginning work on our personal projects.

It has been so nice to land at Taller Radal and find new routines with our creative practise, combined with beautiful walks from the door, lake swims and lots of reading.

On the weekend we hiked to a mountain refugio (with the best best company 🪺 !!) through the beautiful red Lenga trees, the wood of which we are carving for our prints 🍂🍁 by @pen.dered
