This map is interesting, it’s called the mental metro map. It’s kinda like a transit map, but more for everybody’s moods. There’re 4 different colours but they guide down in different directions. In the name of Canadian pacific love? So I already posted a Canadian pacific post earlier this week, but why not put out another one. On my final days of sightseeing around Calgary, I’ve had a chance to capture the Canadian pacific station overpass & the best part is having to see some freight trains passing through that! If I can’t have the yellow side? The last time I saw skytrain 125-126 at Columbia station was a few weeks ago with a MacArthur glen advertisement but with two different colours blue & yellow on two separate sides. I was able to take a picture of the blue side & I was planning to get the yellow side as well, but prior to shooting this video, I wasn’t aware until another Instagram post was showing car 125 advertised with the Coquitlam centre advertisement and I couldn’t figure out why this is! Of course there’re announcement pieces onboard all the skytrain lines, but everytime I ride on the mark 5, I hear this announcement “mind the gap as you exit the train.” This can only be heard on all the mark 5 sets arriving at burrard station & this announcement is kinda like a warning about gaps between both edges.

It’s Friday plus it’s time for what’s the difference between the CNG style novabuses!

The first CNG novabus order was first ordered in 2024 consisting 50 units numbered 24101-24150 featuring the charcoal bluetop livery.

The second CNG novabus order was ordered just last year in 2025, the only differences for them would be 84 units numbered 25101-25184 & also the charcoal bluetop livery.

The latest CNG novabus order has been ordered this year (2026) consisting 30 units numbered 26101-26130 & the only somewhat shocking difference about them is their blue livery with the yellow stripe which looks completely different from their 2024 & 2025 counterparts!

While riding B16203 on the 257 yesterday, I couldn’t help notice about hearing the whistling while running despite with my headset on. Everytime when the acceleration starts, the whistling sound occurs too but I’m not sure what causes this.

Despite currently operating out of Hamilton & only two H prefixes only on drivers side and front door side, I’d still sorta consider Translink H18019 as a Burnaby bus (aka B18019) due to the B prefix still attached on the rear end, door end, driver’s end, front end & even inside the interior. THIS is the one of the only buses out of this 2018 XDE60 batch mistaken as a Burnaby bus! 🤭

About a month ago, I attended the car free event at downtown Port Coquitlam and somewhat very interesting I saw two of Translink’s buses parked near Port Coquitlam city hall. The most surprising is electric novabus H23201 was up front of the other bus behind and I was impressed of how it made it up to Port Coquitlam for the very first time! Have a pleasant weekend!

Since the first day of the R2 extension to Metrotown, here’s an official announcement for this connection. This can be heard arriving at both Brentwood station on the millennium line & Metrotown station on the expo line.

And it goes something like an SD30C-ECO in this lashup. As soon as I got to the Port Coquitlam train yard, I saw two rare trains next to each other. One of their lashups had dual CP & KCS units & on the very last locomotive was CP SD30C-ECO 5011 with the other three ES44ACs behind that. This is a type of train find you guys rarely see everyday! Have a pleasant weekend!
