The funny thing about looking back is that you never take in everything at once. It’s not possible, for one – but it’s also not really the point, right?

Putting together a sizzle for these first three years felt a little like digging through a memory or keepsake box, where every moment took us on a real trip.

One photo would bring back the people who were there. One clip would bring back the project (and all the moving parts of a production). A familiar face would bring back a whole series of events and moments locked in that shared history.

But we didn’t want the piece to live entirely in the past.

Alongside those memories are two brand-new animated sequences, designed and brought to life by Pennant’s in-house motion team and a handful of the collaborators who have become part of our extended creative crew.

They’re a celebration of the people and perspectives that helped get us here, but they also feel like a glimpse of what we’re carrying forward: new ideas, new combinations of talent and new ways of making things together.

We couldn’t fit everyone or everything into this video. But again, that’s not really the point, right?

The point is what comes rushing back when you open the box: the people, the work, the trust, and the ideas we’ve tried to build our culture around.

These are all ways that who we are and what we do have become connected to something larger.

Obviously, this video is only a glimpse, but it holds a lot.

Three years of work, growth and good people coming along for the ride.

Happy third birthday to all of us 🚩 by @pennant.video

Practice makes progress.
Practice makes possible.
Practice makes… Pennant?

Three years ago, we had a lot of ideas.

Since then, those ideas have had to bump up against clients, budgets, timelines, contracts, margins, feedback, logistics, and all the other real-world forces that turn a brand into a business. But we never gave up – we kept building and growing and making stuff we’re proud of.

So here we are, three years in.... mature beyond our years, famously reasonable about sports metaphors, and more ready than ever for whatever comes next.

Thanks for taking this ride with us so far, because yes, we’re just getting started! by @pennant.video

Pennant just turned three, so naturally we released a music compilation on Spotify.

See, over the last few years, we’ve had the very real, genuine pleasure of working with our friend and local musical genius @chris_plante on original tracks for a whole bunch of Pennant projects.

Between anthems, explainers, endorsements and some projects that didn’t quite fit the mold, each of these is a little moment of texture and world-building. They help stories move and make sense, but more than that they’ve given us something distinctly Pennant to bob our heads to.

Because some collaborations stay attached to the project they were made for. But these ones? Truthfully, these tracks have become ingrained in the identity of the studio.

So yeah, as a little gift to ourselves and the world to celebrate our third birthday, we’re proud to present Trust Issues, Vol. 1 — fifteen original tracks composed for Pennant work, collected in one place for the first time.

Twenty-three minutes to sit back, get in the zone, and build some trust of your own.

Now streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. 🎧 by @pennant.video

Awards are cool.

But in the mid-funnel, the real job of a video isn’t just getting attention.

It’s helping someone understand something well enough to trust it, share it internally, bring it to their team, or take the next step.

That’s the work we care about most.

So while we’re incredibly grateful for the recognition from the Telly Awards, what matters most is what the recognition points back to:

Clients who trust us with real business challenges.
Collaborators who bring care and craft to the process.

And a Pennant team that keeps making beautiful, useful videos for people who actually need them.

That part means everything.

The legend of JoeSko began, as most legends do, with a motion designer, a shark, and a surprisingly high dexterity modifier.

Which is our way of saying:

🚨 We’re hiring.

Mid-Level Motion Designer
(Editor / Motion Hybrid)

Pennant Video is a creative studio producing story-driven marketing videos for B2B companies in cybersecurity, health tech, SaaS, and sustainability.

Most of our work blends live-action storytelling + motion graphics — product explainers, brand anthems, customer stories, and launch videos that help people understand complex products.

We’re looking for someone with 4–7 years of agency or in-house experience — a motion designer first, with the editorial instincts (and Premiere skills) to support the story.

📍 Remote role
 (Boston or Austin applicants only)

Competitive salary + benefits.

Apply through the link in our bio and include a reel or portfolio.

Please note: we won’t be able to respond to DMs or questions about the role.

Thanks for the interest 🤙🏼 by @pennant.video
