Grown up post alert! We’ve some clever and creative members at SERC! And I’m not talking about the social media gurus…

There was an island assembly today on Burgh island for clean rivers and seas. “Gig rowers unite for healthy rivers and seas” was a hot topic of convo as a few members came together with different roles, working together for the health of the water we love to row on!

In response to escalating concerns about pollution of our rivers and estuaries, and the deteriorating ecological status of several valuable designated nature zones delegates met today at the Island Assembly to address the problem at the grass roots level. People included scientists, local government, land owners and businesses. Monty Halls was the keynote speaker, Prof. Pen was there as the nerdy one 🤓 and Miss Pretty Penny was there to film for ITV news… so many Penny’s/ies - both making us aware, both brilliant 🧜🏻‍♀️

THIS ISN’T JUST ANY ROWING CLUB, THIS IS SALCOMBE ESTUARY ROWING CLUB 😉.
