Announcing my second solo show, “Dream Play” at @the.alchemy.of.art opening December 4th 🪄

Excerpt from my artist statement:

When I was a kid, I’d go down to the river and walk along the skinny path that ran along the water’s edge.
The deeper I went down the thorny path, the more remote my surroundings, the more peace I felt. At the
end of the thorny yet straight path was a tree with a branch that sat over the river, perfect for reflecting,
next to a small uninterrupted meadow. I have returned to this peaceful place many times in my mind but
I’ve never been able to recreate the feeling physically until recently through my work with tintype
photography.

I’m very excited to share this work with you guys! I hope you can make the opening but the work will be up through December as well 🪄💖 by @pentaxjane

✨NEW POP UP ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

I am collaborating with my pal @analogue.ashley on a natural light tintype pop up at @juniperbaltimore on 10/30!

30 minute sessions, option for 4x5 or 8x10 tintypes. Link to sign up is in my bio, let me know if you have any questions!

The tintypes in this post are from another pop up we collab’d on last fall 🎃 we’re both stoked to get to work together again and meet ya’ll. Bring outfits, props or just yourselves. @juniperbaltimore is a wonderful host and if you don’t already follow them, do it! They have a lot of fun events happening this month ✨

Appointments run from 3-5pm. We’ll likely be staying later and using strobes after the sun begins to set, and I plan to bring the Polaroid camera too for some other fun options (like reclaimed purple & green film 🧪)

Sliding option scale options are available for those who need it, see the last slide for details!

Thanks for reading! See ya’ll at the end of the month 👼 by @pentaxjane

I had the pleasure of photographing Rebecca and her wonderful cat Lavender a couple weeks ago. I took the studio to their house with the help of my husband @heshdog333 💞 we have two cats of our own so getting to take this tintype for someone else was super special. Shoutout to our kitties Garfield and Cream for letting us experiment with tintypes on them the past few years 🐱

This was our second try and we nailed it. When it comes to pets, especially young pets, we sometimes only have one shot to get it right before they’re over it. I’m so happy with how this turned out and I’m excited to offer this option of tintype to folks moving forward

Self portrait, July 4, 2026

A day after July 3rd, one of the best days I had this year in a sea of strange days.

A lot was on my mind with my family on the verge of losing their home. There were a lot of decisions to be made and I still couldn’t believe I was the one making them. But I had signed up for this large format class taught by @elmalayheehoo well before things turned bad, and I knew it would do me good (great, even) to be there.

I have a few small prints of this image for sale, printed on fiber paper. I’ll be adding a few of them to an online shop soon. If you’d like to purchase one lmk : ) by @pentaxjane

Watkins Glen State Park, 8x10 tintype

At the very end of July me and 4 friends, @analogue.ashley @silversprings.tintype @pedroledesmaii & @tintypist_nelson all got up before the sunrise and headed toward the park to attempt to get some tintypes before any crowds.

I’d visited Watkins Glen a couple times around sunrise, 2024 and 2025, and really wanted to make tintypes there. I had seen Coffer’s tintypes he took there, found them very inspiring and wanted to give it a go…eventually. Definitely knew I would need to find some pals to help with this

It took all 5 of us to make this image (and a few others we managed to squeeze in before the crowds started to come). Couldn’t have happened the same way otherwise, everyone helping even though we didn’t know if we’d be immediately kicked out. It was exhilarating and I can’t wait to do it again. I really appreciate Ashley, Elena, Pedro and Eric for wandering into the park before dawn with me with this fun plan in mind. The victory breakfast afterwards was icing on the cake of a perfect start to a long and wonderful day. Just really cool to work with talented and extremely kind, humble and smart people and I can’t post this without gushing about my friends. 💞 by @pentaxjane
