Penumbra Vortex Does the Inertia of Sound Waves Depend Upon Their Energy Content? FOTO: Natália Zahradníková by @penumbravortex
Does the Inertia of Sound Waves Depend Upon Their Energy Content? After some time playing live again. 20.10.2026, 19:00 in "almost my hometown" Žilina. Thanks @mestskedivadlozilina for invitation! Daniel Kozlík prepája klasické nástroje využívané v orchestrálnej hudbe so sekvenciami, samplami a syntetizátormi. Ich kombináciou skúma nové možnosti ambientnej a drone hudby.
No suprise as usual all covers are handmade and numbered. With this release we wanted to go fully transparent milky feeling for whole packaging. It is a a time consuming process but we love all details and small things that comes with it. So when you got your copy of the record you are holding something special. Special for us and maybe for you. Thanks for your support! 🎥 video by @neonix.creative 🙏🏼🩶 #transparent #vinyl #record #tracingpaper #diyordie by @penumbravortex
Tensal: A Return to Essence Tensal is a return to the core of Möbius: to the relationship. "Tensal" is a word that does not exist. "Tensal" is a word we have given substance to. It names the tension and the pull between us while playing. A movement without beginning or end, a flow that constantly returns and continues. For us, the album is a return to naturalness and simplicity, hidden beneath layers of daily life, responsibilities, and time. Through the connection of drum and guitar layers, we search for that which does not vanish, even as the form changes. Without words, we seek meaning in the process. Music is our natural way of communicating and releasing emotions. Möbius is no longer just a part of our lives. It is their natural interconnection. Tensal releases on May 1, 2026. Tensal is a spiral that never closes. You can order via order@analogfreaks.net or directly thru @bandcamp https://mobiusdoom.bandcamp.com/album/tensal Daniel × guitars Fokular × drums All tracks composed and performed by Möbius except: Unity × vocals written, performed, and recorded by Adela Mede @adelkamed Eternal × trumpet and live electronics performed by Petr Vrba Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Amak @amak_golden At Golden Hive Studios in Prague, May MMXXV Vinyl pressing × Vinyl-Lab @vinyllabrecords Cover artwork × Marie Fišerová @ma.rie.fiserova Layout and design × Daniel Kozlík @bdy_one Play at high volume × DIY or die! Komorní předvánoční hudební meeting labelu XION v úlu s kvalitní hudbou a kapustnicí! Vareni z vody, mlha a pidliky. Iob & Macronoise - ambient, downtempo, hocičo a všetko Kapustnica - slovenská štedrovečerní polévka nehrající hudbu, výhradně k snědení. Z domácího kvašeného zelí vykvašeného v Punctum - Krásovka. Vstupné dobrovolné. —----------- EN: Small pre-X-mass gathering in úl with quality music and kapustnica! Jan Čenich (full name Spok) is a native of Vysoké Mýto, where nothing ever happens. This beautiful, silky nothingness is also the main building material of his ontologically uncertain sonic collages. Boiling water, fog and pitchforks. Dans - guitar drones Fedor - Fedor and his soundtrack for a night that never ends. Bass that vibrates like an ancient Prague artery. Beat that will change your mood. Gentle glitch, deep atmosphere, pure flow of energy. In the Hive, I switch reality to a different mode — join in. As the old saying goes, one bulp and you're fine. Iob & Macronoise - ambient, downtempo, whatever and everything Kapustnica - Slovak Xmas dinner soup, not a performer, it's supposed to be eaten. Made from homemade sauerkraut fermented in Punctum - Krásovka. Voluntary entry. by @penumbravortex

🕗 Punctum opens at 19:00, music starts at 19:30 Entrance fee 200 – 400CZK. Sunday Drone is a new ad hoc concert series focusing on slow and immersive electronic music. You can support it by supporting Punctum here: https://donio.cz/podpormepunctum 1️⃣ 19:30 – 20:10 The Exhausted Orchestra is an experimental collaborative drone project of Dan Nulty featuring various people at various times. It was premiered at Punctum's 10-year anniversary night consisting of Nulty, Kotouček, Kozlík. 2️⃣ 20:20 – 21:10 ASYNCH is a live performance that combines foley and sampling, field recording and audio morphing. Based on the ideas of sonic fiction, it is an acousmatic experience of a film that has not been done – and if it were, it would be asynchronous. It’s a confusion where one sound might sound like another, a sound as-if, a magnified detail and everything that shakes (crumbles into dust). ASYNCH is also the return of a promise, a function that returns a value and resolves it. It’s a hold back. The performance consists of 7 individual pieces organised (and failing) as the format of a (foley) song. 3️⃣ 21:20 – 22:10 Mušhuššu is a duo of double bass and live electronics that has sprouted from the smallest concert of Stratocluster to date in 2017. Mušhuššu explores a foggy sonic landscape of rustle and rumble, amplifying unstable gentle sounds coming from the double bass. A semi-improvised set will be prepared for the multichannel surround possibilities of Punctum. Luan Gonçalves – double bass Mikuláš Mrva – live electronics by @penumbravortex
Penumbra Vortex ➥ support SVARTE GRAINER (Erik K Skodvin) středa 2. dubna 2025 ➥ @punctum_krasovka VSTUPENKY ➥ @boomevents.cz @penumbravortex je sólový projekt Daniela Kozlíka (jinak z Möbius, Unattended Funeral, Boiling Point, Lamassu a taky labelu Analog Freaks), jehož poslední album vydali @weltschmerzen.label. Po letech surových (bas)kytar ho zlákal sonický protipól – táhlé meditativní plochy a melancholie, na albu Phases pak i silná inspirace soudobou klasikou s až orchestrálním rozmachem, přičemž se tu pozoruhodně dobře vypořádal s hrozbou patosu. V současnosti chystá materiál na novou nahrávku a můžete na něj narazit i v roli divadelního osvětlovače a light designéra. by @penumbravortex
🟥NEW RELEASE ALERT! (for english scroll bellow)🟥 🟥Je nám absolútnou cťou predstaviť vám nový album od @fokular s názvom Existence. Very deep, very down, very dark but honest, raw and cruel as fuck. 🟥We are honored to present the new album from @fokular. Existence is available on all platforms and you can support it by purchasing it digitally and as vinyl on bandcamp. You can find the link in BIO! Dark, heavy, ravishing. That is how one could describe Existence, the second album by Fokular - one of the most resolute figures on the contemporary experimental scene in Slovakia. On his second album on Weltschmerzen, Fokular reveals yet again his roots in the sludge // doom // stoner band Möbius, where, as one half of the duo, he pounds the drums. Fokular’s electronic sound is just as intense and uncompromising—filled with darkness and a creeping, mysterious intensity. Very deep, very down, very dark—but honest, raw, and cruel as fuck. Existence would serve flawlessly as a soundtrack for urban exploration of crumbling ruins, industrial alleys, or dystopian landscapes. Monumental sonic paintings mapping the torn nature of human existence in the best possible way. That’s Fokular’s new album Existence—an atmosphere straight out of Silent Hill. by @penumbravortex
